Très bon rapport qualité / prix, aucun problème particulier. WD reste une bonne marque de référence. Ce disque est idéal pour faire du stockage dans un petit boitier car il ne chauffe pas trop. Par contre ce n'est pas le plus rapide non plus.A chaque couleur son utilisation, en résumé:Black stockage haute performanceBleu / green stockage pc(plus lent mais chauffe moins)Rouge pour les NASViolet surveillance vidéoJe conseille toujours un SSD pour windows (ou autre) et les logiciels. Le green pour des fichiers multimédia c'est suffisant, le black pour mettre les jeux si on veut un peu plus de rapidité.

Drive seems to work great ,the packaging was not the best , the drive should not be able to move around in the box , it should be secure.it was wrapped in bubble wrap , but not quite enough in my opinion..

So far, so good. I don't find the GREEN energy saver spin-down to be an issue at all re: performance or noise. Note you'll need to initialize it to GPT vs MBR. (MBR hard disks can only support 2TB at most, GPT can support up to 256TB.) Google it and you'll find software that will do this non-data-destructively if that's an issue. Otherwise, you can do this in a PC's Computer Management console.

I have several of these drives, they are awesome, fast and power efficient and they work well in yachts! They are designed for handling huge amounts of data but not for intensive heavy file I/O operations, therefore, brilliant as a second drive in your PC for your music or film library. For intense spooling, virtual memory, thousands of successive read/writes etc (ie your drive C in Windows), you should be buying the Western Digital BLACK.As with ALL 4TB drives, if you want to boot your PC from it and you want it to be 4TB (and not 2 x 2TB drives), you will need to be an IT guru to achieve this and have Win 64/64 bit motherboard/UEFI bios etc.For some reason, Amazon as a supplier cannot package and ship 'bare chassis equipment' (ie something that does not come in a manufacturers box), I never received mine and although I cannot fault Amazons after sales, we both wasted a huge amount of time and money trying to resolve the issue and in the end I got my money back.

This product lasted 3 months before conking out on me I attempted to get a return merchandise authorization (RMA) and found out that the product warranty is void. According to Western digital's website, the product with this serial number should have been inside a MyBook. It had been cracked out of its original case and sold as OEM thus voiding the warranty. Also it had been sold to a Canadian outside of the region it was suppose to be sold in. Thanks for the rip off! If I could give negative stars I would!

Wer hätte das gedacht - die Green-Variante von Western Digital mit 5400 U/min bringt satte Leistung bei geringer Geräuschkulisse. Habe meinen PC flüsterleiste zusammen gebaut und deshalb nicht auf die Blue- oder Black-Variante gesetzt, da ich vor 5 Jahren eine WD mit 180 GB erwischt habe, die so viel Vibrationen verursacht, dass sie jetzt in einem externen Gehäuse auf dem Parkettboden stehend im Umkreis von 2 Metern alles zum Wackeln bringt. Und das ist kein Scherz - so ein lautes Ding hatte ich noch nie.Ganz anders die Greens. MIt ca. 137 MB/s Sekunde kann ich damit Daten lesen und beim Schreiben wirds messen schwierig, weil wenn ich von meiner SSD eine 1 GB große Datei auf die Green schreiben lasse dauert das keine 4 Sekunden. Das ist wohl auch dem großen Cache zuzuschreiben.Also: Geräuschentwicklung: kaum wahrnehmbar, 2 SterneSpeed: 2 SterneVerpackung: 1 SternGesamt: 5 SterneKann die Platte wärmstens weiterempfehlen für den Privat- und Office-Gebrauch. Ich denke ich besorg mir irgendwann mal die Black-Version sobald die Greens voll sind, damit ich ne Referenz habe ob die Blacks wirklich so furchtbar laut und vibrationsstark sind. And der Green-Version gibt's nicht zu nörgeln und nachdem die Platten jetzt einige Wochen problemlos in Betrieb sind ist mein Vertrauen so weit gewachsen, dass ich sie zur Datensicherung nutze.

Me compré este disco duro para almacenamiento de fotos y material multimedia (uso ocasional, no diario) de la máxima capacidad actual y de una buena marca. Estoy satisfecho con la compra y cumple con creces la función para la que lo adquirí.Vamos a analizar brevemente los puntos clave de este producto:1) WESTERN DIGITAL GREEN 4TB:- Precio: El menor de todas las gamas de Western Digital de 4TB.- Velocidad: Lo que WD llama “Intellipower” que viene a ser una velocidad de 5400rpm.- Uso recomendado: Como disco esclavo (2º disco) si tienes un sobremesa y tienes otro disco principal. Para almacenamiento masivo de archivos de uso ocasional.- Confiabilidad: La menor. ¡OJO! Esto no significa que el disco vaya a fallar. Si lo usas para el fin que está establecido (como almacenamiento, como disco secundario) no deberías tener ningún tipo de problemao Ciclos de uso (“Load unload cycles”): 300.000- Garantía del fabricante: 2 añosCOMPARATIVA CON OTROS WD:2) .- Precio (Septiembre ’14): 153€- Velocidad igual: “IntelliPower” (5400rpm)- Uso: Destinado a NAS (Sistemas de almacenamiento en que los tienen funcionando muchas horas (hasta 24 horas 7 días a la semana), como servidores, en empresas, etc. No les convienen discos duros rápidos sino que estén muchas horas encendidos y que fallen poco.- Confiabilidad: 35% menos de tasa de fallos que los WD Greeno MBTF: 1,000,000o Ciclos de uso (“Load unload cycles”): 600.000- Garantía del fabricante: 3 años3) o - Precio (Feb. ’15): Mucho más caros (FAEX 240€ y FZEX 236€)- Velocidad: La más rápida.
