Not bad, the saw blade is too weak.

Amazing amazing amazing product. So great. Cuts like butter. Easy to assemble. And if you get a 1/8" blade, can be used as a scroll saw.

A really excellent bandsaw. With a fence cuts are immaculate and hold to better than 1/64th inch.Light is on the wrong side of the machine.Would benefit immensely from a Rack and pinion fence adjustment but may not Be doable at the price pointSetup was easy.

This is an excellent band saw at a very reasonable price .. I changed the blade to a 1/2 inch 3 tip as I need to cut some 6 inch thick material .. works great

Good power tool. Works well. Good value for money. Do not use to cut metal. Could not adapt my shop vac without using duct tape. 72 inch band saw blades are not easy to find.

Simple to assemble, and cut straight right out of the box. Good quality fence and vacuum ports for various size hoses. Highly recommend this bandsaw. Especially like the 6 inch cutting height capability.

I'll start off by saying I have a few Wen Tools in my shop. I'm not partial to them, but they do provide the best value for money on the market; for a small shop. The first bandsaw I recieved had something wrong with it that I couldn't figure out at all. I believe the bottom wheel was warped as I could not tune or track it no matter how hard I tried. Amazon had a new bandsaw on my doorstep hassle free within a few days. This second bandsaw straight out of the box hardly needed tuning. It required one of the six bearings to be snugged up just a tad and the table wasnt level, which is a simple fix. No complaints what so ever.I want people that read this to know that just because the price screams "cheap!".. they aren't cheap tools. You get a tonne of value for money spent. If you should run into an issue like I did with my first give another one a shot. The same quality bandsaw of another brand would easily cost a couple hundred more. It's no Powermatic, Jet or Laguna but it is quite alot better than anything in its price range.

In the middle of my 1st project since purchasing this saw, and I'm impressed. Assembly was straight forward and it operated without issue from the first flip of the switch, and continues to perform beyond my expectations. Good value for the money.

Out of the box the saw was great for a beginning woodworker. Cut some boxes and some other simple projects and loved this band saw for the value. Then I went to change the blade to 3/8 Bosch blade and my nightmare began. Mistake No.1: I did not mark the original factory tension location. This made re-tensioning a nightmare of trial and error. Mistake No.2: tracking on a 3/8 band was nothing but trial and error. Increase or decrease tension = reset tracking. Change tension too much = loss of tracking and BANG jumped blade. Sensitive is not the right word for it, frustrating as all get out is more like it. I want to be doing woodworking, not spending 2 hours tweaking knobs a quarter turn, adjusting everything, trying a test cut only to have the cut look horrible or the dreaded "BANG" of a blade jump. After a Sunday morning of frustration, I threw in the towel on this one and will be selling it on Craig's list. I was hoping to "economize" but all that ended up doing was being a big waste of time and money. Reminds me of something I was told along time ago "The most expensive tool in your shop is the one that you don't use or does not work."

The customer reviews here are a mess, intermixing three different band saws models - the 9-inch 3960, the 10-inch 3962, and the 14-inch 3966. This review is for the smaller 9-inch (3960) model only.I'm a crafter (art & craft shows) needing a compact, yet sturdy, band saw to travel with me. This 9" saw is virtually ideal. It's belt driven for quieter operation and, with sharp/waxed blades, the drive motor is strong enough for nearly anything. Really like that it has actual roller bearing guides (upper & lower) rather then the ceramic/composite blocks to guide the blades on most similarly-sized saws. The table is well sized and has raised-letter rulers stamped or cast into the top front. May eventually grind (Dremel) the black paint off those numbers to make them easier to see. The fence is barely adequate, as is the cheap plastic miter gauge. Both will work, but, like many, will probably fabricate my own fence and miter gauge at some point. Finally, while the thick plastic frame for the upper bearing assembly isn't so great (prefer metal here), it does seem sturdy enough. When I first got the saw, that frame wasn't seated very well, allowing slight side-to-side movement. Easily fixed it by re-positioning the small angle bracket guiding that frame (held in place by two screws on the back) more tightly against the frame. No movement now.Good blades are always important. While the available consumer-quality blades are probably adequate for most jobs, commercial-quality blades in this size are nearly impossible to find. Had some Lenox Diemaster 2 blades custom cut and welded for me at BandSawBladesDirect. More expensive, but will last longer and cut virtually anything from wood to aluminum to carbon or stainless steels. This saw, however, clearly isn't intended to cut metal, so I'll probably limit it to softer metals like aluminum, with a good saw blade lubricant to ease things along.Overall, I really like this saw. It fares quite well against similarly sized and priced band saws. For example, when compared to the SKIL 9-Inch (3386-01), this saw is sturdier and better-built (strong metal frame, metal covers, etc), has more features (blade tension release handle, roller bearing guides, etc), looks better, and (at the moment) costs less too.

I purchased this Wen 9" Benchtop Band Saw to cut pen blanks. My shop is rather small and couldn't fit a full size band saw inside. This model fits the bill perfectly. I did plenty of research before deciding on this one. Most all the other benchtop models wer mostly plastic and had issues in reviews I read. This Wen is mostly all metal. Th quality is pretty good too. The only issue I had was finding the lower drive wheel bushing striped from the factory. Two of the three secrets holding on the plastic bushing were striped. I called the toll free number and spoke to a technician who quickly shipped me a replacement. I'd suggest you keep the user manual since all the part numbers are listed inside. That helped tremendously when talking to the technician. It allows him to know which part I was talking about without any confusion. Setting up the Saw guides were not that difficult. After aligning them correctly the Saw blade cuts straight and smooth. I'm very happy with this purchase.
