Most of us know we’re not supposed to let the brake lines hold the weight of the calipers, so we end up trying to swivel and balance them precariously on some sort of makeshift perch on the suspension or use a platform underneath. In my case, one of my cars has very large 4-piston calipers that are extremely heavy and absolutely need support.The hooks on this set have an opening of 2-9/16” (65mm) so keep that in mind for fitment in your application. It feels like they’re painted in a thick enamel and the end caps feel tightly installed. Good quality. These are plenty strong enough to hold very heavy calipers and I was able to use them on my most recent brake jobs. Having a set of 4 is a bit more than I need as I’m typically working on one corner at a time, but it’s nice to have if you’re up on a lift and can work on all four corners.Be aware that what I received was a “day-glow” green color, not the yellow that was shown in the listing photos.

The rubber tips don't fit in most caliper bolt holes, so they end up coming off.Once the rubber tip is off, they work as expected.

If you are like me, for decades you have been using safety wire to hang calipers, doing a balancing act with calipers on the knuckle or gently hanging them from the flex hose. I've done all 3 methods many many times. But I finally bit the bullet and ordered these caliper hanging hooks. Really, the solution is simple yet very effective. They provide you with sturdy hooks that will not bend straight under the load and have a good loop arc that should allow you to grab a strut or coil spring, or some other hole or bracket nearby to hang the caliper from. Really, it is a great addition to the tool box that I admit, I should have bought long long ago. The hooks are really sturdy and will easily handle any calipers from a 1-ton truck and under. They are also finished in bright yellow, so hopefully you do not loose these like you do your 10mm sockets and wrenches. I would absolutely recommend, as a matter of fact, I think I will order another set to give to my son for at his house. These are a good tool to have.

While it's tempting to just hang calipers from their hoses during a brake job, sometimes I like to pretend I'm more than just a shaved ape, so I nabbed these fancy hooks to distract the customers (and my boss) from my expired ASEs. Unlike the product description and images seem to imply, these are actually green, not yellow... strange. Still, unless you find yourself repulsed by the color, these are quite functional caliper hooks, and I can't find anything wrong with them. The paint is durable, they're extremely strong (tried bending them by hand and couldn't), and they have nice rubber caps on the ends to keep them from marring the red Brembo calipers on your 90hp Toyota Tercel Type R V-Spec.

I have used homemade hooks made of metal brake tubing and similar hanger tools in the past but never actually owned a specifically made brake hanger hook set before.I saw these and ordered them to add to my toolbox. I was surprised how large they were compared to other branded hangers I previously used at work.The hooks look very good and are heavy duty. They are bright and the size will help remembering to remove them after use. This type of tool is easily forgotten in the wheel wells after use, so the size and bright color is a plus.Overall, I am very happy with these hooks and look forward to using them when doing brake jobs.

I've precariously balanced calipers on rotors, I've used lengths of binding wire/broken down metal hangers... these work SO much better! Why did I wait so long? Good heft to these hangers ensures that the suspended parts should not deform the hanger and plummet to their doom or damage anything sensitive. Made swapping the caliper on my daughter's car a breeze without any risk of stressing the flexible brake line unnecessarily. Brightly colored for quick visual location in the event that you drop one and it tries to run away on you (under the work bench?). Great price point for peace-of-mind.
