I am very picky when it comes to iPad covers. This one I chose because the art reminded me of Maud Lewis, and as a Nova Scotian, it’s nice to represent our local celebrities. The cover itself fits the iPad and all the buttons functions well. The built in pencil holder is adequate. The case is clear, which I like because I have a pretty blue iPad and I want to see the color. The back is frosted, which I like less, but can get over. The inside of the front cover is not a flocked material like I have come to expect, but more of a really smooth plastic. Not sure I love that, but also don’t know how much benefit the flocking provides, as long as it doesn’t scratch the tablet, it shouldn’t matter too much. The only real negative for me was the print itself, it seemed kind of lack lustre and almost blurry to me. Colors were flat, and the cover has a texture to it I really don’t like. I decided to give it a revamp with some acrylic paint markers, and it filled in some of the texture and really brightened it up. I also gave the cat more of a ‘maud’ look, and it added so much personality.
