I recently purchased the Titan 11477 Ratcheting Wire Terminal Crimper and I must say, I am impressed with the product. The non-slip grip rubber handle makes it easy to hold and use, and the steel jaws are durable and can handle crimping a variety of wire sizes. The color-coded dots on the jaws make it easy to select the correct wire size for crimping, and the adjustable crimping compression allows for precise crimping. The ratcheting mechanism design with color-coded wire sizes, 10-22AWG, is a great feature that makes it easy to select the correct wire size. The double crimping die creates a secure crimp that resists pull-out, and the quick release lever frees the crimper jaws in any position and when double crimp is complete. It acts as a built-in safety measure that can open the handles whenever the tool is jammed or stuck. The bi-material handles feature an ergonomic design that offers a comfortable, secure grip.Overall, I found the Titan 11477 Ratcheting Wire Terminal Crimper to be a high-quality tool that is easy to use and produces reliable crimps. The adjustable crimping compression is also a great feature that allows for precise crimping. I did not find any major issues with the product. I would highly recommend the Titan 11477 Ratcheting Wire Terminal Crimper to anyone in need of a reliable wire terminal crimper.

Highly recommended. Clamps exceptionally tight so the wire is really secure. The only down side is it requires a massive amount of pressure to close the two handles and they snap shut really tight without any indication, easily pinching your skin if you are not extremely careful. Which is hard to do as the handles are wide apart at the start of the operation.

I purchase this for repairing motorcycle wiring and other odds and ends. This tool is only for the hard plastic crimp connectors that come in Red, Blue and Yellow. Its not for heat shrink connectors or the bare metal ones as you a probably aware. The real features boil down to the following...A double crimp at the jaws which give improved grip over the tools that do a single crimp and doesn't break the plastic on the connector.Ratcheting which holds the connector in place so it doesn't drop out while you thread the wire.Adjustable compression pressure to fine tune your crimp so that you don't crush the connector but so the wire still doesn't slide out.Automatic ratchet release upon reaching set adjusted pressure with a tab that can be used to release prior to full compression if needed.Tool seems sturdy.Things to be aware of...The ratchet does not give additional leverage in case you were expecting that. You still need a lot of pressure on the tool to get a good crimp. I tend to rest the tool on the bench and lean on tool vs trying to squeeze it. Especially important if you have something that needs crimping in place on a machine and you don't have a lot of grip strength. This is probably the biggest drawback IMHO and I am a 200lb guy. I haven't tried the yellow connector which require more compression either yet.Seems to hit the sweet spot for the home mechanic before jumping up considerably in price. Can be had for as little as about $20 on sale.

If your in the market for some crimpers, than look no further because these work great. 3 different slots for the 3 different sizes of but connectors. Simple and effective.

Good for the price! At first I was unimpressed, but then I bought some decent quality connections for it to crimp and it does a great job. Needs a fair bit of force, or maybe I just got weak during covid lockdown

Awesome, These are easy to use and are a great quality crimper. I had another crimper which was ok but was not a racheting crimper which is easier on my rist. It did a really good job. I had to fix one of my crimps and it was hard to take off i had to just cut it and recrimp it. And it double crimps, not just 1 crimp, like others do.

I really like this crimper. In the past I used the cheap single crimpers that you get with a kit. This one works a lot better. The best feature is the ability to hold the terminal in the tool because of the ratchet. This means you can insert the wire with one hand and crimp with the other. Why the 4 stars? The is a note on the back of the packaging that this crimper is not designed to use with terminals can come with heat shrink. So far it has not punctured any heat shrink. This is missing from the online description.

Excellent product though more instructions on how to use it on the packaging would be nice.

Excellent tool for attaching solderless crimp terminals. Just make sure you position the terminal in the jaws correctly (may take a trial or two), and squeeze the handles. The tool releases itself when the crimp is done, so no worry about crushing the crimp. Plus there are 2 crimping teeth in the jaw, resulting in a double crimp (as opposed to "plier type" crimpers).Just be careful about your hand placement so you don't catch the part of your hand between your thumb and index finger (hand web) between the arms of the tool as you’re squeezing. A little guard would be nice (simlar to the ones on tin snips). This is why I gave it 4 stars.Otherwise the tool is very sturdy so I expect to get many years of use out of it.

Works great for all kinds of crimpable connectors, wires are very tightly held after crimping, impossible to pull out without breaking the wire.It does require quite a bit of force to be applied on the female connectors that have the plastic surrounding them in order to fully crimp it, but that can be said about all crimping tools for those connectors in this price range. The rubber(ish) handles are great, hands don't slip at all. Highly recommended!

After struggling with three different non-ratcheting crimping tools and their inconsistent crimps & terminal wastage, I finally decided to purchase the proper tool for the job, viz., a ratcheting crimper ... the Titan 11477 Ratcheting Wire Terminal Crimper for insulated terminals only. The crimping tool, even without an instruction sheet, was very easy to use and provided perfect & secure crimps every time. The only problem encountered was the release lever after a crimp was a little difficult to reach & tended to stick. A few squirts of silicon spray & further usage rectified this initial problem. For non-insulated terminals, a different, more expensive ratcheting crimper with a much longer learning curve will be required ... so when possible stay with the insulated terminals. The Titan 11477 Ratcheting Wire Terminal Crimper is well-priced and is a must for any well-equipped tool box.
