These fit true to size. I wear a 30 and ordered a small. They are of course very short but that is the point. The waist fit well. My one complaint is that the pouch is more of a blocker fabric and does not have enough shape to it to totally contain your parts. If you are wearing shorts this short then that probably isn't a bad thing anyways but just know that there may be some things that escape the minimal containment. Other than that they look great and I like the high cut sides.
