The brake retractor lasted me exactly two pairs of pistons before the cup fell off the end. Not a big deal, just had to use a hammer and punch to roll the crimp back over the inside of the cup. You could even use the tool without the cup on the end as long as you have steel pistons, otherwise the pointy end could crack a phenolic piston. Also, at first I didn’t notice the cup had fallen off and had to retrieve it from inside the piston. That may or may not have been an issue. Anyway, if you don’t mind fixing it this is a nice little tool. You might even want to check the roll crimp inside the cup and give it a few hits before its first use even. While you are at, if you have a welder, put a few tacks on the nut because that is also roll crimped on and is likely to fail also. Otherwise operation is smooth and the plastic handle seems very secure. The hooks are a must have for hanging callipers. Stay thirsty my friends.
