I have a cheap airgun but my ageing eyes are having trouble with the iron sites so I got this dot and it's been working very well for me. The dot is bright enough and I haven't had any problems with it losing zero. Frankly, it's more accurate than the airgun it's attached too. Pretty good value for this quality level.

I put this red/green dot sight on a Gamo pellet gun. Installation was straightforward. Initial sight-in was outdoors and haphazard but declared a success. The setup seemed to work adequately during the first couple of months, then accuracy degraded over time. After missing several easy targets, the Gamo and this dot sight were taken to the basement for serious re-alignment. The sight was clearly flawed, as it was out of alignment with the barrel. After a steady shot, using bags and a very stable mount, the dot sight would jump wildly to another position and be clearly out of alignment with the barrel. Crazy! I took the sight off and shot several times, with no sight, and actually improved on-target performance. This sight went into the trash bin.During my attempt to re-align the sight, the dot would jump after each shot. I would re-align the dot to be inline with the barrel each time. At one point a piece of plastic fell off the sight; it was a bezel surrounding the glass optic. No idea why this would have popped off. The gun and the sight have been in my sunroom for the past year with no exposure to adverse weather or moisture. This sight is trash!

Things were lookin' pretty grim around the Dodge City coop. Them varmints - rats and squirrels - were gitt'n into the chicken feed, and scarin' the hens pretty bad. But then the Marshal came ridin' into town with his trusty TACGUN OPTIC SIGHT, and darn if it wasn't curtains for the rodents. The Marshall had it set onto his trusty customized Crosman 1377, with the steel breech, extended barrel, rifle stock, flathead cylinder, and larger discharge port, usin' them Crosman Mushroom rounds. And sure 'nuff, he blasted them varmints left and right, out to 20 yds away. Shot 'em by the front door, shot 'em off the roof, even shot one into the water trough, just like in them there Hollywood movies! One big bad raccoon came struttin' his stuff, but darned if the Marshall didn't put one right through his eye and dropped him where he stood! When the Marshall was through, he rode off into the Sunset, while the Hens all clucked their approval and thanks, for they knew now that they would be safe from all of them furry marauders, thanks to the TACGUN Optical Sight!Authors note: All true stuff. Only had to sight this in once. Deadly accurate, easy to sight in and use, and none of the neighbors can hear a thing. Yup, the upgrades cost more than the original Crosman, but they are worth every penny. Makes a great squirrel gun for hunting, too. And the girls thanked me with record egg production. Only regret is that I didn't get a video of the rat when it fell stone cold dead into the waterer. Priceless!

I bought this to check the accuracy of air pistols at 10 meters because of my age and eyes. After trying it with the pellets that shoots the best in one pistol, I would have to say it is not for checking for accuracy because of the parallax of the dot. By putting the dot at different points on the screen, it shoots much larger groups that what I can do with open sights.However, using it just to plink, hunt and general shooting, it is quicker to pick up on the target than using open sights and is a very good addition, but just not for testing the accuracy off sandbags, in my opinion.

I received the sight today and mounted it on my Crosman Custom Shop 2300KT .22 caliber pellet pistol (similar to Crosman 2240). Product packaging was very nice. Mounting the sight was straightforward with no issues. I am impressed with this sight. It looks and feels high quality. The reticles and dot are sharp and crisp, both red and green. Sighting in was easy and I was soon putting 5 shots into the 10 ring (1 inch diameter) at 10 yards. Tightening he sight lock screw did not shift the pellet impact point at all, as far as I could see and the adjustment clicks required were as calculated (0.1 inch per click at 10 yards). I shot about 10 targets (10 shots each) and no shift in zero was observed. I used brightness setting 3 during bright daylight, for zeroing. I am also impressed with it's light weight especially since it's almost 100% metal construction. My pistol weight feels about the same with or without the sight.I will mention one more thing. When I first took the sight out of the box, I inserted the battery and checked the reticle quality. All were very blurry. The reason is that I was holding the sight at about waist level for this test and I wear bifocals. I was actually looking through the near vision part of my bifocal, which is what made the reticles/dot look blurry. I was ready to return it, but when I held it in the shooting position our front of my eye, I was then looking through the far vision part of my bifocals and the reticles/dot were very focused and crisp. The reticles/dot are focused at infinity which explains the problem (actually non problem) I had. So don't make the same mistake.I couldn't be happier with this purchase, and highly recommend it for a similar application.
