First off this IS a solid frame - I did not receive the *NEW version* I was shipped the *OLD version* as of April 2023. The product is falsely advertised and for that reason I'm giving 1 star. You can ignore the product description photos and they are not what you will receive. The Box is about 50-60 lbs so factor that Into your plans if you intent on returning it.I recommend using your own tools to assemble it as the tools Included are your typically Ikea ones. When assembling the frame leave everything loose until you get to the end then tighten it so it all aligns.Vendor should adjust their product description and photos as they are shipping customers the OLD version.

First of all, there were no 'shims' (washers) in the material pouch. I had to by at least 8 mm washers from the orange big box store. That was $12.00 out of my pocket. Also, there were no 6 mm bolts, although the instructions said there should be. No matter, the 8 mm ones fit and thankfully, there were enough of them to finish the job.Overall, I was very impressed with the strength of this unit. The cheaper one didn't have the tubular construction that this one had. There is a more expensive one but this was just right for me.Be prepared for a long assembly. The instructions are fine, no problem there but make sure you do all of the steps in order. Also, before you start putting the bolts through, make sure you can tighten them afterwards. What I mean it, if there is steel in the way, you won't be able to use the Allen key. Put the top of the bolt in a place where you can get at it with the key. Have an adjustable wrench and a socket set, metric only, before you begin. If you aren't handy with this kind of stuff, get a friend to help.Attaching the seat was the most challenging. Do this in two steps. Attach the pieces that attach to the frame first but don't tighten them down. Set them about as wide as the seat. Then attach the seat risers to the seat when it's off. This is the time to figure out how high you want the seat to be. Once the risers are attached to the seat, lift that up and set it down on the supports that you attached to the base. The pedal base is fully adjustable too so figure that out before you tighten stuff down. My pedal base is as far to the back as possible. I'm 172 cm (5' 8") so work from there. As for the wheel, mine is as flat as possible.I have a G29 setup and everything lines up with the holes provided with this rig. I don't use the shifter support but at least it's there.Overall, except for the missing washers, I'd rate this rig at 10 out of 10. Solid, fully adjustable, well built, etc. It even comes with adjustable pads on the bottom. These help you level the rig.I'd have done an assembly video but I was ticked off at the missing washers and the two trips to the box store. On a Sunday. In the rain. You won't go wrong with this, that's for sure.
