i this bought this and its steel in the box I'm scared to open the box from all the reviews I read can't choose a star

When I read all the reviews it seemed like the common theme was that the powder coating was crap and it lacked wiring instructions. So the pieces were all wrapped properly but the box is so heavy that the carrier in this case UPS clearly had dropped it or packed it in tight places. So the box itself had gouges. Therefore, two of the pieces had scrapes into the powder coating, which I agree is not so great. Since I read reviews I ordered a large can of truck bed liner spray. I wanted to spray the honeycombs blue to match my truck so I ordered that paint separate. They unbolt easily so that I could paint them. Overall, the rack is really well made. Sturdy. That being said, be advised at the instructions are very minimal. I would like to have seen more direction on how to mount on the bed of the truck. There are no and I repeat no wiring instructions. So if you are putting this on a newer vehicle and don't want to mess up the warranty and you don't really know what you are doing, I recommend taking it into a stereo shop or something like that to wire it into your truck's existing wiring system for your brakes, your tail lights, and your reverse lights. Overall, this is a really good product for the price. I think it looks pretty sleek so take the time to spray bed liner on it before you put it together and then I also recommend exchanging the bolts that come with it with stainless bolts.

This roll bar is strong & sturdy but the powder coating is a joke, it is off in many places. I was putting it together on my tailgate & I left it there overnight. There was rust starting around the welds, it is at a body shop now getting a paint job so be prepared to put more money in it or it will rust before your eyes. I have all the hardware thrown in the garbage & replaced with stainless steel

The steel frame is strong and was easy to paint a glossy black to match truck finish. The chrome finish on inserts pulls well and it looks amazing on my truck. Very Happy with it and highly recommend it!

Really easy to install on my 2016 ram 1500..I also did not get Instructions and some missing hardware ...but overall I would definitely recommend..

I honestly thought this was gonna be a cheap rack (because of the price) but I ended up getting this awesome product instead!!! The metal on this rack compared to the one I bought previously is night and day difference and is solid!!! Fit right in my 00 Ram 2500 (says it won’t fit but it did in my case)For the price I highly recommend this product!
