This is the exact sound I was searching for. It does have a high long "triangle" sustain when hit on the outer ring and cuts through very well. I'm really pleased with this.

Flat ride with no bell, used a cymbal stacker and put this on the ride. No I have the best of both worlds with a ride that pings like no other, and a bell that cuts like no other. What an amazing product for the price.

I bought this and the 7 inch version. I am extremely happy with both. The rest of my set-up is from a certain Swiss factory but these are more than comparable with that offer, and cost 60% less. These ice bells or cup chimes - they have various names - are special effect 'voices' that have added more possibilties to my percussion arsenal.

This bell is great. It is shimmery and just the right amount of sustain. It's great and I'll be buying more from Stagg for sure!
