I've recently gone nuts buying squat wedges. I've tried so many different brands and styles. The rubber kind, the foam kind, the steel kind, the adjustable kind and more. All of them were good, but I never liked how the wedges would move and get out of position or not move, but never be in the right position. Outside of taping off the perfect spots for them with a ruler, I never knew if they were straight and aligned correctly. With this wedge, that issue is gone. This wedge is big, plenty big for me and my squatting (I'm 6'1"). It is very light weight - which is good and bad. It feels like it's some type of light weight foam that has a fabric cover over it (see the pics). The cover is glued on and not loose. It doesn't instill as much confidence as the steel or solid rubber style, but I didn't have any issues using it for my lever squats and safety squat bar squats. It's smooth enough you could use it barefoot if you wanted. Also, it's priced well - a lot less than some other wedges I've used. Lastly, the angle is good. I have used some where the angle is way to steep and doesn't feel comfortable when doing barbell squats (maybe they're better for stretching and body-weight exercises?). This wedge has a good angle on it. Overall, I am pleased with it.

The foam squishes down some with large amounts of weight applied, which creates a slightly unstable platform - so its not suitable for heavy squats.
