They are made of maple laminations and strong fiberglass. This will ensure that you will have the flexibility and durability that your child needs. This bow will bend, but it will be difficult to get this thing to break. The riser is made of various different three types of woods. They are chuglam, gmelina arborea, and beech. These woods give the bow riser its pale yellow to cream colored look and are made from some of the most durable trees in Asia.

Got this for nephew. His Mom complained that the bow string was too long. I contacted Southland via email and received reply with 12 hours - even during the Thanksgiving Holiday. Customer svc rep suggest the limbs may have been installed backwards. She was correct!It is just terrific to know a product is backed by a quick thinking, on-the-ball, customer service rep!!!!

Our daughter really likes the bow set. Everything a beginner needs is included. She only got to shoot it once so far but really enjoyed it.

I purchased this bow set as a starter bow for myself. (I’m a 25 year old female, 110lbs ) i started with the 20lb limbs and it’s been great! It’s a wonderful starter bow kit that gives you basically everything you need to get started (besides the arrows). I would recommend this bow to any smaller females who are wanting to get into archery. You will eventually want to order a new string for it in the future If you want to use it for awhile though, because the stock string is decent to start with but starts to wear down if you use it a lot.

We bought this for our 10y/o son who is on the small side. This set is perfect for him in terms of size and draw weight. He loves it and it shoots well.
