Upgraded dual dial design
●POINTER DIAL:
This soil tester's pointer dial tests for soil moisture/fertility/PH don't need batteries, which are easy to use and carry.
●LCD DISPLAY:
The backlight LCD Display shows sunlight/air temperature/air humidity/BGR light in the garden at the same time. LCD Display use AAA1.5V * 2 batteries. (not included).
HOW TO USE?
1) Switch to MOIST/ FERT/ PH position.
2) Insert the probe into the soil 3-5 inches deep.
3) Read the dial when the needlestop moving.
4) Remove probes from soil and wipe clean after each use.
Check soils:
Don't test slurry soil! Hard soil! Plant ash! With plenty of roots and less soil potted plants, or water plants.
1) Suitable soils: Organic/ Natural/ Good composting/ Black/ Mixed soils
2) Not suitable: Ash/ Slurry/ Hard/ Too Dry/ Rock/ Sandy
KINDLY NOTE
Do not use it to test water or other liquids.
Do not force to insert into the soil, when meet resis-tance, try another spot.
Do not leave the moisture meter into the soil for long time.
After use, please wipe the probe clean.

I have always had a pretty small garden, but this year, I have expanded quite a bit.I have always had a bad habit of over-watering my plants - I used to think they always needed water, now I know that some need to dry out a little.......but I still find myself giving them all "just a little drink" - not smart!Now, i listen to this tool! I check my veggie beds (and they are all composed of different types of soil), so I can clearly tell when I need to water, and more importantly, when I do not need to water!The acid level is also very helpful for many of my small fruit trees and berries. Since i used different soils and compost for different beds, this also has an indicator for fertility as well. This small tool gives me just about every data point I need. They are all easy to read as well, even for us folks who wear thick glasses!Yes, i log all this data into my veggie garden journal!!

I've has some experience with a simpler version of a tool like this, so I was looking forward to trying this item out, and it's quite nice.The measure of moisture in the soil is a great starting point, but the addition of the pH and the light and fertilizer are very interesting additions - going to need to do a little more research on some of my plants now that I can check on more than if they are wet enough.Nicely built, and l like the detachable probe - easier to store when not in use, and easier to replace if damaged!

I'm impressed. As a home gardener, I can’t validate every function on this soil tester—such as soil pH—but I’ve tested several of its features, and it performed very well.I first checked soil moisture using a potted plant that I considered optimally watered. The meter gave me a near-perfect score. Next, I tested the humidity function against a high-end dehumidifier. The readings were within two percentage points of each other. For ambient temperature, I compared the tester’s results to my home’s smart thermostat, and the readings were nearly identical. Last but not least, I checked the fertilizer reading on some moist, high-quality potting soil, and the meter confirmed that my mix was well-balanced.These tests give me confidence in the device’s accuracy, so I’m happy to give this product a five-star rating. This does a lot more than expected besides testing the soil. It also measures light at the plant location and provides a variety of other measurements to help understand problems you may be having. The soil tester works fine and gave the results I expected. What I like is that. you can put in the ground and get all of these measurements simultaneously. It's a great tool when you're having problems or when you want to understand a location's environment so you can make better choices when planning your garden. It came with a soft bag for storage which keeps all of the parts together. Not something I would use frequently but when you need it, it's great to have.

The sensor tip broke off within five minutes. Even if the tip hadn't snapped off, the sensor rod is poorly connected to the main body and kept popping off, so I was already unhappy, even before it broke completely. It's just cheap junk; already in the trash, and it's not even 8am on the first day after delivery. Yikes.
