Absolutely perfect fit. Thankful that they still sell these as my Sharp Air cleaner is from 2008! 🥹

So glad I was able to find these when I did. I just wish the price had not skyrocketed so bad.The price really does not reflect value for the product. But I am happy with it other than cost.

So the filter is expensive, that's pretty well established but it fits and looks like the original. I can't see any difference in the amount of media compared to original. The one thing I have noticed is a smell. Every time I put the fan on the room fills with a smell of wood glue, you know that white glue from shop class. It's been a a couple of days shy of a month now and it still has that smell every time.Update Dec 28: the smell is still there but it's actually getting worse and it's pretty foul at this point. I'm at a loss as to what I'm going to do about this. I can't keep using it at it is. Expensive filter indeed. I've changed my 3 stars to 1 star.

Genuine Sharp OEM replacement HEPA filter and carbon filter set. Expensive, but does last for up to a year if environment is not too dusty. Air purifier itself is the best I've found for severe allergies.

The FZR45HFU filter combo includes both the True HEPA Filter (white with pleats) and the Washable Active Carbon filter that I need for my SHARP FPP40CX Plasmacluster Air Purifier. It came in the white SHARP cardboard box containing both filters in clear plastic, and the instruction sheet. The ones sold directly by Amazon is the real deal made by SHARP and is identical to my original filters that I replaced. I made sure I bought it directly from Amazon.ca (ships and sold by Amazon), careful to avoid fakes & knock-offs being sold by third-party marketplace sellers which is extremely common these days for all kinds of appliance filter replacements (water, air, etc.). It is a tad expensive, but for something that I am using to purify the air my family breathes day-in and day-out, I'm going to make sure I get the genuine replacement!

Updated comment (March 2019):After posting a glorious review (below) I'm sad to say that to my surprise the true hepa filter only lasted about 2 months before starting to smell. Not sure why because it's not in a particularily dirty room. I bought the purifier years ago to combat smoke in the house so I wasn't surprised the filter only lasted a month back then but we no longer smoke indoors so I expected the new filter would last much longer this time around. I even pulled the unit apart and "sterilized" the everything (case. fan. etc) , so it was like new before I put the new filter in. Still, 2 months later and....filter is shot! It's still a great purifier but the cost of the filters (despite it being cheaper than before) is still too expensive at $120 every 2 months.Seems your room needs to be 'hospital grade clean' in the first place for these filters to last any longer than a few months. Never again.I've taken to putting high quality furnance filters in (cut to size) which work surprisingly well - at a FRACTION of the cost!Original post:Excellent purifier. Had mine since 2009 & it still purrs like a kitten. Great unit & reliable. That's Sharp for you.The picture of the filter kit is inaccurate but the FZR65HFU is indeed the correct filter set for the FP-P60CX purifier. I received my genuine Sharp filter kit today (ETA 7 days & arrived in 2. Very impressed with Amazon's free shipping service, btw!).AND, it looks like Sharp improved their carbon filter since the original design; nine horizontal sewn pockets pretty well full of carbon granules, whereas the old one only had 7, but the real issue was it also had big gaps in the pockets allowing air to almost entirely bypass the carbon! I would have taken a star off my rating if they had not improved the carbon filter design but credit to Sharp for fixing their original stupidity. There are almost no gaps in the new ones. The true hepa filter is brilliant.Sharp filters aren't cheap but they're damn good (and so is the ion generating purifier itself). These filters retail for around $190CAD, so $130 (+tax) with free shipping is a pretty sweet deal.

I'm very glad to have found this set of components still available after the filter assembly has been out of production. The Sharp air filter has been a very good thing for me and my family. Each time it's life can be extended just makes the initial investment become more valuable.

This air cleaner has been a godsend to us. We bought the air cleaner several years ago and have been through two or three sets of filters. The cleaner lives in our bedroom and makes our pine pollen season bearable, reduces dust and miscellaneous odors like a champ. The only downside is that the filter replacements are so darned expensive. But with four dogs sleeping in the bedroom and a husband with pollen allergies, it is worth every single penny (...to us!) I can understand anyone who is unwilling to pay the price of the replacement filters, but we've tried many different air cleaners, and none has performed as well as this Sharp. So we will continue to buy the replacement filters on an annual basis.

Having purchased the Sharp air purifier awhile back, I have never seen a filter cost almost the same amount as the purifier itself. $140 plus for a stupid Paper filter is insane. The profit margin must be ludicrous. I didn't see any plastic as is on the original air filter. This filter appears to be made entirely of paper, it doesn't even look like cardboard. Very flimsy and delicate. Sad that it's so difficult to find filters for my Sharp purifier. It seems that Sharp doesn't support it's products once purchased and discontinues the necessary parts quickly. Because of this, I will Never buy another Sharp product again. When a Holmes or other brand Hepa filter costs one third to one quarter of this one.
