(Originally posted 03/30/2025) I’m primarily comparing this to the G2 as this is the latest in the G line. I personally think Segway knocked this update out of the park. It’s all pros and I can’t really find any cons besides the price hike and maybe the increase in complexity on the front end(which can be a potential drawback). Also the navigation, but I’ll get to that. So, a lot of the pros are obvious ones that they mention here in the advert, but some of the not so obvious ones are the ones I want to go over.When I first saw this design I was a little bummed by the handlebar design, thinking that is was a proprietary design and i wouldn’t be able to use my quadlock. However, it’s not a one off size, there’s just rubber spacers to make it look thicker, thankfully that just pulls right off and it’s a standard 7/8” bar that works fine with most products and phone holders(see pic, you can see the right spacer is removed where I installed the quadlock).Next think I want to touch on is that not only is the headlamp brighter, it’s also adjustable. I don’t know why they left that out as it’s a pretty great feature(see pic of the side of the headlight).Another thing they changed, that I feel is for the better, is the throttle is not just a thumb throttle, but rather a thumb/split throttle. In other words, you can use it like a thumb throttle or kinda like a standard twist throttle.The screen is nice and EVERYTHING IS COMPUTER, but I personally wouldn’t use their navigation as i prefer my navigation on my phone(I’ve actually come to like Apple Maps). I’m sure their navigation will improve over time and maybe the turn by turn directions on the display will be useful eventually. But as of right now I see no real use for it. You may want to order some 3M protective film to protect the screen.Some other nice features that I immediately fell in love with is the airlock feature. It’s pretty awesome and I highly recommend you set that up right away.Boost is awesome and VERY powerful for a machine with such a short wheelbase. I have to Max G2s, and I have experience with various sport bikes(2008 CBR600RR, 2015 Yamaha R1, 2018 CBR1000RR) at the track. Maybe it was because I just wasn’t expecting much based on their description. 0-15mph in 2.4 seconds is not that fast sounding. I’ve ridden 0-60 in 2.1. But it just hits different on a scooter… let me say this thing almost made me look like a fool(I wish my security camera caught it, but it was just out of view). I activated boost, went to hit the throttle and nothing happened… I think this was before I turned on zero start… anyways I gave it a lil kick and casually gave it the beans… my stance was not good… the front immediately came up and I was 🤏 close to looping it. 😅 moral of the story is be careful, this thing has juice.The battery is only 47ish WH bigger that the G2, but the motor is twice the size, so if you’re heavy on the throttle at max power, you can expect less mileage than the G2. Doesn’t really bug me, but if commuting is your plan then maybe a G2 or the new F3 would be better. Maybe…Also, the deck height is about an inch higher on the G3 putting it at about 9” with 5” of ground clearance. The G2 is about 8” with 4.5” of ground clearance. Both measured without mounting.I’m selling my G2… or maybe I’ll give it to a family member. I’m keeping our other G2 for the wife.Overall, I really like this scooter.

I ordered the preorder but the shipping was delayed. I called Amazon CS and the rep told me they just missed the initial scan and I would receive it in two days. I ended up receiving it 3 weeks later. I’ve had it for 3 days now.The scooter itself is great. It’s quick, convenient, and comfortable. Only comes with a hose for a tire pump (besides the manual) but the scooter is a great value for the price nonetheless. The headlight is very bright and the underglow is sick. The screen is bright during the day and easy to see at night. It folds up easy and isn’t too heavy at just over 50lbs. The handling and suspension are awesome. It has great range and charges fast. The app is easy to use and the built-in navigation is so convenient when it works… [con] The address search in the navigation feature is glitchy so it’s usually difficult to look up the addresses.Once the navigation search is fixed it’s honestly a perfect scooter for my daily commute and more. I’m looking forward to what kind of accessories Segway will release for it.

Original review: (1month 100 mile update below) Just got my scooter today (4/1/2025). I'm 260 lbs with full gear on on this scooter and I took it for a max distance test (once it was charged to 100%). I kept it at the full 28 MPH on a bike trail (all paved road) that was a 14 mile round trip. I ended my ride with 5% battery left. I kept the throttle pushed down the entire ride and it stayed strong until I got below 20%. Around there my speed started to drop. Once I got under 10% my max speed was around 10-11 mph. By the time I got home with I will say though the app is and instruction manual is riddled with minor spelling and grammar mistakes... I don't think they had a native english speaker go over any of the material or the app itself. The new rider video the app makes you watch is TERRIBLE. The instructions fly by in the blink of an eye so you have no clue what they are trying to show you.Next I think the scooter isn't fully tuned software wise yet. I actually think my old Niu KQI3 pro rides better (better throttle response, regen breaking etc) which are all things the segway can fix in updates later.I'm definitely still satisfied though - I felt very safe and stable on this much faster scooter than I do on my Niu. I got easily more range and waaaaay more power. This is the perfect commuter and I can't wait for the extended battery to come out in July.UPDATE 4/26/25This is a 100 mile update. The scooter is still fantastic and I feel very safe on it already I've hit pot holes at 28 mph that I'm sure would have taken me out on a lesser scooter without suspension but this is able to handle them. 10/10 I will buy another one of anything happens to this scooter. You literally can't beat this for the price it's impossible. I constantly get 15 miles of range with 240+ lbs (lost about 20 lbs go me) at max speed on this thing which gets me to work faster than if I drove a car. It's hilarious to me zooming 28 mph over speed bumps that care have to take at 10-15 mph and I barley even feel the bump meanwhile if a car tries to keep up with me they are bottoming out their car. Earlier in my review I mentioned how this thing kind of feels untuned because the throttle didn't really feel as responsive as my old scooter but I figured out it was the traction control which on my opinion kind of sucks. Any bump you hit pot uneven road the throttle significantly slows down for a second then when you hit flat ground again it kicks back on... It really makes for an inconsistent ride so I turned it off and wow it feels so much better. Please wear safety gear on this thing - I wear a full riding jacket with armor padding, gloves, and a highly rated full helmet that covers the face. Protect yourselves out there.

First off this scooter is amazing! Besides this thing being built like a tank and rather large, this scooter is a great adult model. Having owned the Segway ES3 Plus and G30, this new version improves on everything.It is super smooth with the combo of shocks and large air tires. I’m 210 lbs and this thing has no issues climbing hills that the previous scooters had issues with. Boost mode is so fast it is terrifying. I like that you can record different audio clips to play through the speaker such as “On your left” or a horn honking. The bell is kinda weak but it is better than freaking people out on the walking paths. Light is super bright and legendary.Can’t say enough positive things about this thing. Well done Segway! Like the small charger cable yet super fast charging and the display the gives you the remaining time to charge. App well thought out. Now two my only two complaints. 1.) Wish I could set the middle speed most to 18 or 20 mph 2.) Wish it had a horn for the road or a setting to use for the streets (vs bike path). Obviously your distance will be reduced the more you weigh, but you can still easily get 16 miles of range which is all I need. One thing I found odd was the tire said max load 220lbs, but maybe that is only for 1 tire and with two you can hold more? This thing is super well built and could easily hold more weight.
