Found an old plastic drawer tossed around for holding junks, drilled a hole on top(and added a plant/ceiling hook) to hang this zapper to improve rainy day operations. The purple lights look surprisingly pretty though wife says they are a bit eerie-looking during the night. LoL. This pic was taken during the day so the purple hue was not so prominent. Been plugged in for 2 days non-stop, no heat up or other abnormal effects noticed. The seller did send an msg advising NOT to plug in 24/7 but I'm too lazy to reach behind the shelf to unplug it daily, my bad.On average it took out about a dozen bugs each night since after being put into use. So far no bees were zapped by it and mostly moths and mosquitoes/flies/other bugs were killed. If honey bees fall victim I may unplug it during the day as I don't like killing them. Will update later if any new scenarios come up. Hope this helps.Update: Just bought the 2nd unit and it came on time as scheduled. 1st unit worked fine for a few months so decided to get another for indoor use. Top of tower did get a bit warm but not hot enough to be a concern. It did attract some bugs/flies to get near it to be zapped. A loud crack sound was emitted every time a fly/bug flew in, so it took a while to get used to the sudden pop. Hope this helps.

Once the grid collects enough bugs it stops zapping. The quick clean is a neat feature, however, the bugs just get pulled to the bottom of the grid and it stops working. The light is not very bright.

I live in the country and every night at dark the mosquitoes were getting in the house as they were clustering all over the door, it was impossible to BBQ as it requires you to go out to check on your food and back into keep from getting eaten alive, every time the door was opened mosquitoes were getting in, so I needed to get a big zapper ordered it and it arrived next day hung it up plugged in and started zapping mosquitoes immediately, it zapped one a second, was entertaining to watch even my dog was watching the fireworks. In 5 nights it eliminated 95 percent of the mosquitoes in my yard I can BBQ with out getting bit, I think it works great!!!!

This bug zapper is easy to set up. Just pick a location and plug it in. We put ours beside a hornet's nest to help downsize the population before spraying the nest. The zapper did attract the hornets but sometimes it took a few zapps before it killed the wasp. The product price is reasonable for what you get.

Mata bichos que da gusto, llevo ya varias noches en la terraza y no me ha picado ni uno. El ruido te hace saltar de vez en cuando, pero prefiero eso a los chupasangres. Es más efectivo cuando es oscuro, al atardecer hay que usar spray o espirales además de la lámpara

I have had the Sahara now for two months, I use it in doors both in the bedroom before going to sleep and during the day in the downstairs living room.On the only day I forgot to switch it on and use my Mosquito spray I got bitten a number of times.It seems to be killing mainly Mosquito's a few flies and the odd hornet.It does make a loud crack when something strays into the electrodes.I have decided to buy a second one as I'm not sure I could manage should this one break.It is only made of cheap plastic and the electrical lead is rather short if you were thinking of hanging it up to use outside.But for the simple fact that I haven't been plagued by Mosquitoes this year and it is catching them it has been a good purchase for me.

Seit mehreren Tagen im Einsatz und ich bin wirklich begeistert. Vorallem wenn er an einer weißen Wand hängt wo das Licht reflektiert wird ist es ein Mücken- und Fliegenmagnet. Sehr gute Konstruktion, kann ich weiter empfehlen.

My house backs onto a storm pond, so I have a lot of green space and water nearby. I bought this to reduce both mosquito population so I can enjoy my backyard, but also to reduce other pests like moths that like to destroy my garden crops. Once you turn this light on, it almost instantaneously attracts and kills bugs. In a single night, it'll kill over 100. The only drawback is, when it zaps, it's a bit loud, but you definitely know it's working! I also wouldn't mind an on/off switch, which this doesn't have. A rechargeable battery mode would also be nice, but having said that, I would still buy this again.

Si avvicina l’estate e con essa le tanto temute zanzare, ho così pensato di cercare un prodotto da mettere sulla mia terrazza che risolvesse questo problema. Ho optato per questa lampada che tra quelle proposte mi sembrava di buona fattura ed aveva un prezzo accessibile. Ha rispettato in pieno le aspettative, molto robusta e pratica da utilizzare e soprattutto da pulire. Sono sicuro che sarà di grande aiuto quest’estate. La consiglio.

Je reviens rectifier mon commentaire : il avait été livré avec une prise UK malgré les questions et réponses posées sur le forum. J'ai commandé un adaptateur pour quelques euros.Cet appareil est très efficace, notamment contre les moustiques tigre qui finissent par s'y coller.J'avais acheté d'autres appareils dans des magasins, et ils n'étaient pas efficaces. Celui-ci est une vraie tuerie pour les moustiques.Seul inconvénient, le bruit quand le moustique se fait griller, ça claque ! Nous devons l'éteindre la nuit.Mais si voulez nettoyer votre pièce des moustiques, essayez le! C'est très efficace.Je lui pardonne la prise UK tellement il est efficace.
