I purchased these last month because I needed new side steps because the plastic pads on the old ones deteriorated from the sun. I wanted a metal step that did not have plastic pads. Since these steps look like the OEM Toyota Predator steps I decided to go with these. The steps are pretty solid. I did not notice any off welds or thin spots in the powder coat. The install was easy. Took less than an hour. All hardware was included and came with extra washers. The bolts threaded clean. I used thread locker on the bolts that attach to the tube. Here is my opinion on the steps. I have a 3 in lift on my Tacoma. The steps do stick out a little bit. It took some time to get used to the new steps from the old tube steps. If you are not careful using the steps to dismount the truck you can scrap your leg on the rough edges of the step. I am not crazy about the plastic end caps on the step because I’m not sure how long they will hold up in the AZ sun. That being said, I think they look good, and are a good affordable option for clone Predator steps for a Tacoma.

These running boards look rugged and compliment my silver 2022 SR5 access cab Tacoma with blackout pkg. I like the slim look and they don’t protrude outward too much. Installation took an hour by myself. The instructions could have been better but after a slow start I was pleased with the way they looked. They were packed really well and arrived 5 days early. Buy these and install yourself; it’s worth saving $500.
