It may be inherent in TOSlink but I was unable to form a legit connection with these with multiple working cables.For some reason they lack the rounded corner orientations that you find on device connections and they are not a fixed assembly. The inner connector slips out easily and there is no secure feeling click. If they do click and you disconnect they fall apart.But none of this matters because despite see a red light pass through there is no actual signal delivered which I assume is due to alignment.

They don’t snap in well. When you try to press a cable in they Jack pops out. Then when you do get them to stay put they don’t transfer the signal properly. Crap product.

Setting up my tv connections in the wall for hiding the lines and this was exactly what I needed for my optical connections! Fit easily and securely into the keystone plate. Good connection with associated cables and signal transmission!

I bought these and another brand as they were both priced the same, I didn't know if these would work with my project or not however I was pleased that they do. The other brand did not. ***Note: These fit if nothing is next to it in the Quickport plate (1-2-3 ports), if you use a 6 port plate like I did you will have to file down a small portion of the blank port filler as the RiteAV Toslink Keystone Jack is slightly wider. Doing this does not create any issues. These adapters are black, however I used quick dry rustoleum primer to match them to the gray Leviton plates. Disassembly is easy if you are careful, give them a light coat of paint and put it back together.
