Using this to extend my work light away from the 1" ball to get a better angle. I have it clamped onto the ladder on the back of my vehicle and this adds just the right amount of length to get more light onto the ground right underneath the back door. The extension has an o-ring on the end which is a good detail to help get a positive grip on whatever you screw on there.

Reasons To Buy+ You are trying to add height to a tripod mount+ Can also be used as a handle to hold a device+ Because it has a standard male and female thread, you're basically limited to your imagination in terms of applications for it+ Built like a tank... it's very well made+ Has a knurled bottom to make it easier to tighten onto an existing tripod mount+ It just worksReasons Not To Buy- The reach is limited to 12cm

The material and machining on this was belied its affordable price. Add this to a quality ball head and it is a discrete selfie handle for getting that extra 4.7" of reach. Add it to the top of a desktop tripod if you just need a little more.Pros:Quality materialsThreading is spot on.light but strong.Easy to hold.Cons: None
