These spacers are just what I needed to do my cabinet doors. They are just undersized so they fit in without needing to be wedged in. They can move a little on the vertical sides, but my slots are not that clean so they usually stay put. This should help allow panel movement without binding up.

These are actually undersized at 0.24 inch which means they can move around during assembly of the cabinet door. I use shaper cutters that make an exact 1/4" slot. I expect these to be slightly oversized like the ones I bought from the woodworkers store. To use these I will probably have to add a drop of silicone which is going to slow down assembly, unless I can find an undersized cutter. These do work for keeping a raised panel centered in a door frame, though recently I have started to stain the panel before assembly so you would never see an "unstained" line if the panel were to shrink. Using spacer balls is a good idea, they just need to stay where you put them.

These spacers work as expected. Should hold panels centered and allow seasonal movement.
