This USB-C multi-HDMI dock allows for 3 display-extending screens on computers that support USB-C docks. Alas, the laptop I wanted it for apparently does not, but I was able to test on another and it does work with compatible computers.

I needed a way to connect multiple monitors to my laptop, and this thing has been a great help. Setting it up was a breeze—just plug and play, no drivers needed. I'm running three 4K monitors now, and the picture quality is fantastic; I can't believe how smooth everything looks. It's perfect for my workflow, allowing me to have multiple applications open at once 🤯. The build quality feels solid too; I'm not worried about it breaking anytime soon. I use it daily for work, and it hasn't skipped a beat; it's made a huge difference in my productivity. I can finally stop squinting at tiny windows and get things done. I can't recommend this adapter enough—it's a great solution for anyone needing more screen real estate; it has freed me up from the constraints of a single monitor.

I’m incredibly impressed with this USB-C to HDMI adapter! It’s made connecting multiple 4K displays so easy and efficient. The ability to connect up to three 4K displays through a single USB Type-C port is a huge bonus. The HDR and HDCP support provide crystal-clear, vibrant images, making my workflow smoother and more enjoyable. The resolution options are fantastic. I set up three 4K displays at 60Hz, and it was seamless. For those who love higher refresh rates, you can even set up to two displays at 4K 144Hz. If you're looking for even more detail, it also supports an 8K display at 60Hz, which is perfect for anyone who needs ultra-high resolution. The plug-and-play functionality makes this adapter super easy to use. It has a slim, lightweight design, which makes it perfect for travel or using it on the go. I love how simple it is to connect multiple displays with no extra setup. As a remote professional, this is such a time-saver.This adapter is compatible with Windows 10 or later and ChromeOS 100+, as long as the system has video-capable USB Type-C, USB4, or Thunderbolt. It’s not recommended for Mac systems, but it works perfectly for my Windows setup. For max resolution, make sure you’re using a DP 1.4 host with DSC support, like an Intel 11th Gen CPU or later.Overall, I’m very satisfied with this Multi Stream Transport hub. It’s durable, reliable, and designed with efficiency in mind, whether you're using it for a home office or a more professional setting. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to expand their monitor setup!

At-a-glance (full review below):PROS:- Small size- Quick and easy setup- Works perfectly with 3x 1440p @ 120Hz displaysCONS:- [None so far]—— Full Review ——I have three 1440p @ 144Hz monitors in my work-from-home setup, but I haven’t found a good dock that can drive all three at 1440p, let alone above 60Hz. This adapter looked like it would finally fit the bill, so I picked it up to try.Out of the package, I was very surprised at how small the unit is. The overall size isn’t much more than purely what’s needed for the physical HDMI ports, which is awesome. The build quality feels good, and the attached cable isn’t super long nor short, but depending on your setup you might want to find some sort of extension. As advertised, I plugged the adapter into my laptop and immediately all of my monitors sprung to life with no setup needed! One of the monitors defaulted to 120Hz, and the other two to 60Hz. But, I was able to set all three to 120Hz which was a bit surprising, since some other docks/adapters won’t support more than one at a higher refresh rate. I wasn’t expecting a higher refresh rate, and while it’s not the full 144Hz that the monitors support, the 120Hz is a nice bonus. So far, I have had absolutely no problems with the adapter. All my monitors work perfectly with no drop-outs or issues. The only thing to note is that your laptop/connected computer will need to support higher bandwidth and DisplayPort MST (higher versions giving better results) in order for this to work well. Make sure to check your computer against the tables in the product listing to get an idea of what you might be able to get out of this adapter.Overall, this is an amazing little adapter which has greatly improved my WFH setup. The price ($65 CAD at time of review) is very good in my view given what this can do and when compared to other docks (which may have other ports, but are more limited for their display options). I would highly recommend picking this up if it fits your setup!

This is a fairly decent USB-C to triple-HDMI adapter that appears to be well-constructed with a plastic shell/casing and a short 20 cm cord. The overall build quality appears decent albeit typical of most other USB-C/HDMI adapters or hubs (well, those with a plastic shell anyway) now on the market; however, it does support 3x displays with resolutions/refresh rates that few others support at this point in time, which makes this stand out in a sea of USB-C/HDMI adapters amongst many other similar seas, if you will. The HDMI ports support a maximum of 4K@60Hz simultaneously without requiring drivers (i.e. this doesn't utilize DisplayLink which is another technology to allow any USB ports, including those that don't natively support video output, to carry video data via the help of drivers utilizing CPU instead); however, it does require DP Alt mode (as all other driverless implementations do) as well as MST (Multi-stream transport). In addition, in order to achieve the highest resolution/refresh rates with the largest displays possible (i.e. all 3), DSC (Display stream compression) is required.I should also mention that NOT all systems or hardware support DP 1.4 and certainly they don't all support MST so it's the best to ensure your system, including all dependencies such as operating system and drivers etc, support the number of display and as well as the resolution/refresh rates you are after.DP 1.4 has a maximum effective bandwidth of 25.92 Gbps (HBR3) using 8b/10b encoding scheme. As such, any combination of the number of displays along with their resolution/refresh rates would most likely work as long as they are within the bandwidth offered. Another related technology is chroma subsampling which is essentially another way to reduce amount of bandwidth required without sacrificing the video quality visually (i.e. certain aspects/attributes of video can be changed without affecting what we perceive such as difference of colors) by encoding the video in a certain way. Common types are 4:4:4 (no subsampling), 4:2:2, and 4:2:0 etc. DSC is able to reduce the bandwidth required by about 3-3.75x times (i.e. 67-73% of original bandwidth) while 4:2:2 is often able to reduce the required bandwidth by 25% and 50% for 4:2:0.Note that HDR videos do require significant amount of more bandwidth; however, it's not really an option to me at this point so I'll only focus on HDR (10 bpc) in the list below.* 1080p@60Hz: 4.00 Gbps* 1080p@120Hz: 8.24 Gbps* 1080p@1440Hz: 10.00 Gbps* 2K@60Hz: 7.04 Gbps* 2K@120Hz: 14.49 Gbps* 4K@60Hz: 15.68 Gbps* 4K@120Hz: 32.27 Gbps (DSC or 4:2:2)* 4K@144Hz: 39.19 Gbps (DSC or 4:2:2)* 4K@240Hz: 68.56 Gbps (DSC)* 8K@30Hz: 30.60 Gbps* 8K@60Hz: 62.06 Gbps (DSC or 4:2:2)As such, this particular adapter can support 1x display with 8K@60Hz, 2x displays with 4K@144Hz, or 3x displays with 4K@60Hz. I don't have any 8K@60Hz display to test it with but it does work as expected with a Dell XPS 16 laptop during the tests for 2x 4K displays; one 4K@144Hz and another 4K@120Hz.Unfortunately, HDMI is all it has and it doesn't even have PD charging which means this is far less useful for those that only have 1 USB-C port although most computers should have at least 2 with 1 being dedicated to charging.≡ ValueAll things considered, this is fairly decent USB-C to triple-HDMI adapter that appears to be well-constructed and for the most part works as expected without issues. However, it does require DP 1.4 Alt mode/MST with DSC in order to take full advantage of what this offers with the highest number of displays possible along with the highest resolution/refresh rates supported. It's reasonably priced at $59 for what it provides and its overall build quality, usability, versatility (or the lack thereof, e.g. no PD charging port), and performance.

The Plugable USB C to HDMI Multi Monitor Adapter saved me over $300! Prior to getting it, I was trying to hook my peripherals up to my laptop using a docking station. I went through three of them, including a high end Kensington model. None could run my three 60hz moniotors without a glitch. Using this adapter, and buying a powered USB - C hub made everything work perfectly! THANK YOU!
