They work but are made of much thinner material than I was expecting. They will hardly hold any shape on their own. Once you have dirt in them they are ok. They do what they are supposed to do but much flimsier than was expected

J'en ai commandé plus de 600 et je les ai tous utilisé pour planter des petits arbres.

The smell is worse than I would have thought. It got on my hands and was hard to get off. Type of plastic not disclosed either. Not even thick enough to stamp a plastic type on.Plus they are so thin and malformed. They are only as thick as a heavy duty trash bag. I returned these instantly. If you risk it, assure to open outside and I suggest you wear disposable gloves.

Like that the acorns I planted had lots of root room to grow

I've used many pots for tap rooted trees. I grow paw paw from seeds and they send roots down before sending a sprout up. The root is often twice the above ground portion. My preferred pot for seeds is cone-tainers, but once the seedlings are tall, they crowd each outer out because of the narrowness of the pot and then require an extra specialty tray to spread them out. I used the YARNOW Plastic Plant Nursery Pots 50pcs Tall Seedling Flower Plant Container Starting Pots to move up from the cone-tainers for some of the smaller seedlings.I paid $16.99 for 50 of these on sale, must've been a clearance sale by the seller as I don't see that seller on Amazon anymore. At the current $25.99 for 50 pots, I would probably not buy these again, but would go with 14" Deepot Tree Pots at the price of $1 each (seasonally on sale at 75¢). At 35¢ each for these, I would not hesitate to purchase again unless potting media was in short supply or space was at a premium. (Narrow pots use way less potting media and take up less space, and these are not narrow)As others have said, the pots don't smell good, but NO new pots smell good. I mostly buy directly from greenhouse suppliers, and have purchased thousands of new pots. Most cheap pots smell, even the expensive thicker ones smell bad. The solution is to open them, separate them and leave them outside at least overnight. As for those who say they're flimsy, they are. That thinness should just allow them the plants to be easier to be removed for planting. These will also cut very easy, as I've had to cut thicker pots and scissors just don't work. We've had to use a plunge cutter or utility knife on thicker pots.As for not standing on their own. These don't do that very well. However, my cone-tainers require a specialized tray which I put into a tote. Deepot tree pots also require a specialized tray, but it's crap so I just use a milk crate. The milk crate will hold 9 of these YARNOW Plastic Plant Nursery Pots. You could also use a small tote to hold 9-12. I prefer a milk crate in a larger tote with water on in the bottom to reduce watering chores. Also, as another reviewer pointed out, some sellers can't count. I ordered 2 x 50 and received 2 x 45. WelI, since it was an even amount off each time, maybe it's intentional, who knows. I meant to contact Amazon or the seller, but was too busy planting and up potting.Overall, I do recommend these YARNOW Plastic Plant Nursery Pots and would purchase them again IF they were on sale OR if the greenhouse supply store were out of cone-tainers, Tree Pots or Deepot Tree Pots. Of course, if cost or space isn't a factor, then Proptek Heavy Duty Deep Pots would be the way to go.

I’ve purchased twice and these are acceptable. Seeing other reviews that these are flimsy and will not stand on their own is not our experience. The thickness is light but acceptable and placing in crates is necessary.

Some of the others don't say good things about this product. They are light non ridged containers and smell very strange . Any container this size ridged or not would fall over . Group them together and this problem is solved. As far as them being misshapen , once you fill them they take their shape. These are ideal for nut seedlings that have a long taproot also Paw Paws . I'm 76 and have been growing for most of my life . I recomend this container for anyone who is serious about growing , rootrainers solve tangled roots that travel all around the pot and have to be untangled upon planting , here just plant. LOVE EM

These are very thin and work best with some sort of support. We put 9 or 12 in milk crates for support and easy of moving around. We have a couple hundred oak tree starts going now!

Very nice to plant trees. Very ordinary but will work for what they are intended to be used for

I've been looking for some deep root training pots for a while now. I knew from the pictures these were not going to be super sturdy, but I'm surprised by how thin the material actually is. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt until I have the chance to get some scions and seedlings going in them, at which point I'll update this review for better or worse.

The pots are incredibly flimsy. I just hope they don’t break over the winter. I’m also disappointed that I only received 48 pots, when I paid for 50 pots. 2 pots are missing. See photo (24+10+14 = 48pots)
