This does as advertised to help keep cool air circulating around you; however, we find the noise emitted by the fan is excessive compared to the force of the airflow that is put out. The lower two speeds feel pretty weak, but increasing the speed very quickly means the fan is noisy to the point of being distracting, makes conversation difficult, and annoys the people around you. Inherent to the design, if you have long hair it is best to keep your hair tied up while using this, otherwise you inevitably pinch/clip your hair in the folds of the fan when you spread the arms apart. We did not try the misting feature so cannot comment on its performance. Nice that this is hands-free, but the noise prevents this from being a shoo-in to replace our other handheld fans.

I purchased this Portable Neck Fan with Mist in black for use during my summer travels, hoping it would keep me cool on the go. After using it for a few weeks, I have mixed feelings about its performance, landing it at a 3-star rating for me. While it has some great features like the mist function and foldable design, there are definite drawbacks, particularly with noise and airflow, that keep it from being a standout product.First, let’s talk about the positives. The mist function is a game-changer, especially on hot, humid days. It delivers a fine, refreshing spray that feels like a mini oasis, making it noticeably more effective at cooling than a standard fan alone. It’s not as powerful as an air conditioner, as advertised, but the mist adds a nice touch of relief when you’re sweating it out at an outdoor event or walking through a crowded city. I also really appreciate the foldable design. It’s compact and easy to tuck into a backpack or purse, which is perfect for travel. The hands-free wearable aspect is convenient, too, letting me stay cool while keeping my hands free for carrying bags or checking my phone. The black color looks sleek and doesn’t stand out too much, which I like for everyday use. However, the fan falls short in a couple of key areas. My biggest issue is the noise. While it’s marketed as a “quiet” neck cooler, I found it to be noticeably loud, especially on the higher settings. It’s not deafening, but it’s distracting enough to make conversations or listening to music a bit annoying, particularly in quieter settings like a park or office. I measured it with an app and got around 55-60 decibels on high, which is comparable to a busy street—definitely not whisper-quiet as some fans claim. This was a letdown, as I was hoping for something less intrusive for all-day wear.Another issue is the airflow, or lack thereof, directed toward my face. The fan does a decent job cooling my neck, but I expected more air to reach my face for that full-body cooling sensation. The vents seem to focus the breeze downward, which is fine for your neck and chest but leaves your face feeling neglected. I often found myself adjusting it or tilting my head awkwardly to catch more air, which wasn’t ideal. The airflow is sufficient for mild heat but struggles in scorching temperatures, even with the mist function on.Battery life is average, lasting about 4-6 hours on high with the mist, which is okay but not impressive. I wish it could hold a charge longer, especially when I’m out all day. The build quality feels solid enough, and charging via USB-C is convenient, but I did notice the mist reservoir needs frequent refilling if you use it often.Overall, this neck fan is a mixed bag. The mist function and foldable design are definite highlights, making it a practical choice for travel or outdoor activities. But the noise level and weak airflow to the face hold it back from being a top-tier product. If you prioritize a quiet fan or strong face-directed airflow, you might want to look elsewhere. However, if the mist and portability are your main needs, it’s worth considering—just don’t expect perfection.

Really haven't put stock in around the neck fans with mist function I should have. It works surprisingly well almost like having a mini A/C around your neck with 5 fan setting and 2 mist settings. The instructions were easy to follow and well laid out. the fan unit has weight to it. be careful when filling the water compartments the stoppers/plugs don't need a lot of force to open otherwise the attachment tether will break it took to 2/3 of the fill bottle supplied and the cover is a screw off not a twist cover. The first charge is down to 75% and there's plenty of water from the first fill. I should also mention that the mist is a fine mist. Also worth noting the display picture shows a woman using the device with a smaller neck it also works on my neck that is neither female nor small. Lastly the black finish and overall design is good the 3 joints move as the should a solid build deserving of 5 stars. The delivery driver could have thought about the customer by simply ringing the door bell that would require to actually be at the door; porch pirates have eyes.
