My frenchie loves to eat her food super quickly...well, now she can't with this slow feeder because it gives her a bit of a challenge. It might be extra challenging for a frenchie because of their small snouts, but it really slows down their feeding time. It is also easy to clean once she is done eating from it.

Easy to use and while I’m not sure if it’s freezer safe, I have frozen it once and it didn’t chip or crack. I do sort of regret using this though as my puppy now prefers eating out of this and will altogether ignore any lickmats, Kongs, or Toppls given to him (which is is primarily how I gave him meals). Cleaning can be a little tricky, but not hard, just have to make sure to get the corners. It does slow down my pups eating, but not as much as frozen foods. I’d say he’s finished in about 10 minutes with this.Review for Outward Hound Fun Feeder Slo Bowl

There's a couple of things that stand out to me about this feeder. First, in addition to feeding meals, it can double as a licki mat, just smear peanut butter (or whatever) on the bottom, freeze (if desired), and put it out for enrichment for your pup. So I appreciate the versatility. It also has 4 tabs on the base that have little gripper dots on their underside that keep the bowl from making a b-line across smooth flooring. In addition to those features, I appreciate that it's a good sturdy bowl, while still not being heavy. I like that it's dishwasher safe. And also, I like the color - not that the dog will care, but it's a pretty sage green. In my experience, Outward Hound (a manufacturer I trust and am happy to purchase from) makes quality products, and in my opinion, this bowl is definitely a quality product. Side note, I think it's great that they include a chart for their different feeders with the listing - this bowl is not for the super speedy food inhaler, it's more for the dog that would benefit from being slowed down a bit, or could use some extra enrichment in having a bit of a challenge when eating. Outward Hound has other bowls for the speedier eating pups.

I have a 70lb GSD that will finish food placed in a bowl in a minute--no exaggeration. I use about 1 and 1/2 cups of food per meal. This two cup feeder fits the food fine, but I've found that using a larger Outward Hound slow feeder makes it more challenging. If in doubt, size up. For a bigger challenge, size up.Instead of a minute, this slow feeder makes my dog take about 2 minutes to finish a bowl. Doubling how long it takes her to eat is a big feat. I've had another Outward Hound slow feeder that has lasted for years and this one seems to be the same build quality. The rubber grippy bottom of the bowl keeps it from slipping around on smooth surfaces.I've loved every product I've purchased from Outward Hound--try the puzzles if you want to give your dog a bigger challenge!--and this new Fun Feeder Slo Bowl is no exception.

My dog has a tendency to eat quickly when it comes to his mealtime. I found this as the perfect solution to slow down that eating progress. The bowl comes with dividers that split up the dog food well. The bowl itself is pretty good quality and is made of thick plastic. The bowl is also big enough to fit each meal in it without having to refill the food. I like how this has multiple size options since my dog is smaller I chose the medium option.
