This game cart is terrific. The engineering I would say is pretty basic - not a knock, just saying the WAY MORE expensive ones are a bit more polished. Assembly was a snap and all parts were there. This baby is strong (although rated at only 300 lbs, which is the low end of these types of items) and rolls real smooth. The tires, which they describe as puncture resistant (which doesn't tell you much of anything), are, in fact, solid. So no ability to puncture at all. This was a big question I had in my mind when ordering. This is great because this is going to be a way intermittent use item, and there's nothing I hate more than a flat tire on something that you don't use all that often, when you suddenly need it.The "spokes" are really just solid metal parts so no delicate spokes to get ripped out if your load shifts and whatever you're carrying ends up in the spokes. Although it would be better if these were solid, it seems to me.The fancier ones of these game carts tend to use tractor snap rings to assemble and refold instead of the wingnuts this unit uses. If you haul this out in the woods folded, these wingnuts are going to give you a much greater chance of losing some parts in the leaves during assembly than the tractor rings would. I don't plan to disassemble so this shouldn't be an issue for me but some folks will be using it that way.The company that sells this is a family business based out of Colorado - which I like. Was somewhat disappointed though to see that this unit was made in China.I plan to use this for much more than hauling a deer out. Things like hauling firewood, mulch and concrete bags, and other things. I'm smiling ear to ear - this thing is great! Highly recommended.

Very heavy duty frame and wheels. Good instructions and pretty easy to assemble for most people. Once the axle is installed (10mm) wrench the rest of the cart can be assembled and disassembled with hands including removing the wheels. Its folds down pretty compact, small enough to get into any trunk. This cart rolls easy and is easy to maneuver with a heavy load. Overall I really like the cart i think it's a good value for the dollar.

I received the Allen Company Meat Hauler Game Cart through the Vine program with high hopes, envisioning a convenient way to transport harvested game out of the woods. While the cart boasts decent build quality and a compactible design, its practicality for the serious hunter is severely limited due to one critical flaw: its weight. The product description uses the term "LIGHTWEIGHT" and highlights its steel frame as providing optimal strength without adding unnecessary weight. This is misleading. At over 29lbs, this cart is anything but lightweight. The implication to me was that it could be easily paired with a tree stand carrier system turns out that simply unrealistic. Adding this to an already substantial hunting load, including tree sticks, a saddle, or a stand, quickly becomes cumbersome and impractical. The dream of stealthily packing into your hunting spot with this cart quickly fades; you’d need a pack mule! This weight issue forces you to either drag or push the cart to your chosen location, which immediately compromises your stealth. The noise generated by the wheels – even on relatively soft ground – completely negates any advantage you might have had. You will sound like Bigfoot hauling through the woods. For hunters who prioritize a quiet approach, and let's face it, most serious hunters do, this is a major drawback. The rustling leaves, snapping twigs, and general rumble of the cart moving through the woods will likely alert any nearby game long before you reach your desired hunting spot.Ultimately, carrying or hauling this cart a significant distance through the woods to your desired location is, in my opinion, impractical. The weight simply doesn't justify the convenience it offers once you've successfully harvested game. The effort required to get it there undermines its intended purpose.Pros:Good Build Quality: The cart appears well-constructed and durable, suggesting it could withstand some abuse.Collapsible for Storage: The ability to collapse the cart for storage is a definite plus, making it easier to store when not in use.Potential Yard Cart Use: It could be useful for hauling items around the yard, such as firewood or gardening supplies.Cons:Heavy and Unwieldy: At over 29lbs, it's too heavy for comfortable packing to a hunting location, especially when combined with other essential gear.Compromises Stealth: Dragging or pushing it creates noise, spoiling the hunt and reducing your chances of success.Impractical for Packing In: Doesn't live up to the advertised 'portable' claim, making it difficult to transport to remote hunting locations. Conclusion:Unless you plan on using this cart solely as a yard cart or have a way to transport it directly to your hunting site without carrying it long distances, I cannot recommend it for serious hunters who prioritize stealth and portability. The weight and noise it generates outweigh its potential benefits in a true hunting scenario.

Allen Company Meat Hauler Game CartThis cart is well made & sturdy. It is a bit heavier than I had expected. This cart it great, not only is it useful for game, it can also double as a more effective dolly! With it's extra large wheels and larger base, I found it to come in handy for moving 50 lbs feed bags across out bumpy, uneven, uphill ground from the car to the chicken coop & storage shed.I feel the cart could benefit from a central brace or a metal grid atop the frame work. I will likely add that myself in the near future. It would be nice to see quick release lynch pins (like those used on the wheels) or cotter pins used in place of the wing nuts for a faster & easier way to collapse and fold up the cart.4 stars!Explaining my rating system:5 - a superior product - I would highly recommend4 - above average – a great choice3 - average – what one might generally expect2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative1- Horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible
