I was able too change these by myself. I took a 1 by 6’’ by 10’ and cut a u out of the board and wedged it under the end of the awning. That allowed me too complete the work without the use of another person.

We'd never replaced the lift supports on our camper awning but this was really easy (after looking at the diagram). There aren't really any directions, but the numbered photos it came with helped us through it. Great shipping time and a far cheaper fix than a new awning! We only needed one so we'll have the second support for the next time. After a couple of months it is still working perfectly!
