Old lifts on a 2013 Acura RDX wouldn't lift the rear gate high enough. Had to manually lift the rest of the way. Researched original part #, searched and found these. Install took about 10 minutes. Super easy. Now, once you unlock the back gate, it lifts on its own to the highest position. Shutting takes more effort, but assume that will ease over time. So nice not to open and risk hitting my head and having to manually lift the gate.

I installed these on my 2013 Acura RDX after reading the instructions and watching the video recommended by Lift Supports Depot in the instructions. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the new supports fit and were as easy to install as described. I think it's important to make sure that you have a good support for the tailgate while you do this. The tail gate itself, once even one of the dead supports is removed is turns out to be very heavy. This isn't really a great problem ~ you just have to be aware and make sure the tailgate is supported in an open position. Note: the tail gate doesn't have to be fully opened to do the removal and installation of the support. Taking my time, being careful and doing this as peer instruction the whole thing took maybe 15 minutes. The supports seem to work as good as if not better than the originals. I am very pleased with this purchase.One more thing: delivery from Lift Supports Depot was about half the time estimated at purchase ~ a very nice surprise!!
