This product was as advertised. Installation was simple and quick (less than 10 minutes)I replaced the both front lifts on my Porsche Boxster. The cost was about $25.00 for both lifts. The price of the lift for the rear trunk was $26.00 for one lift. Same Amazon retailer, but different manufacturer. Same parts from Porsche dealership was well over $100 for both fronts, plus additional for the rear deck lid lift.I would recommend and would purchase again from Amazon

Exact replacement for my 2006 Porsche Boxster trunk strut. Works great. Did take 3+ weeks to receive but I was not in a hurry for it.

The original strut in my Boxter's rear trunk had worn out to the point the trunk wasn't staying open in a breeze. Installation was dead simple once you figure out how the clips work (I've done a ton of these over the years). It was a perfect replacement for the OEM strut and plenty strong to hold the trunk open in just about any conditions but not so strong that it makes closing the trunk difficult.

Trunk kept bonking me on the head. Did a lot of search and bought this new cylinder. It went in perfectly and hold the trunk up beautifully. It fits a 2008 Boxster. Not enough reviews on which models these fix. Also a very good price. If I had ordered from Pelican the shipping alone would have cost more.
