I bought this product from the amazon ad. I havent used the items because I returned them the same day I received them. I have a 2019 Lund boat I didn't think this product would work on my boat. My rail is only 2-3 inches high. The product seems to be better designed for a boat with at least 5 inches of clearance between the rail and boat. The plastic in my opinion needs sufficient clearance so it will hang down from the rail without getting tangled between the rail and boat.

Now we don’t lose bumpers for the boat. Works great with our pontoon.

I only had to look at the instructions a few times to install these on the rails of my boat. I’m using 1/4 inch twisted nylon rope and it’s pretty easy to adjust the height of the fenders, but at least for me, it takes two hands. Still, it’s easier than adjusting a hitch knot. I did tie a stopper knot on the end to keep the line from falling out of the keeper when lowering the fender.
