I've played with a lot of pickleball paddles, and this one is my favorite. It took me a little while to adjust from my 13mm offensive paddle to this one, but now I love it. While expensive, this paddle has a ton of technology built into it and it shows. It's a very high-quality paddle that offers a lot of control, spin and even some speed. I was a little worried about breaking it at first because some of my friends play aggressive and one of them smashed his paddle into my new one really hard and it left a huge mark in the middle. Luckily, I was able to wipe it off and my paddle still looks brand new. The weight seems good too and it is balanced well. I added an over grip to it and used the included edge tape. I highly recommend this paddle.

I've been playing Pickleball for almost 4 years now and i've had the chance to try A LOT of paddles including Scorpeus' previous Gen (3).In comparison to the previous Scorpeus Series Paddles, it's great to see that Joola finally figured things out with USAP/USAPA and UPA-A and apparently these are good for Tournament Play now, that's a big deal as many players felt cheated when they couldn't use their paddles due to regulation, i mean this isn't a cheap paddle, but anyway, we are all glad to know that it is approved for tournament play. When it comes to the Scorpeus Experience, If you're coming from a traditionally shaped paddle, after a few hours you adapt to the subtle differences of the wider shape, you'd see how the side mass/weight of the paddle makes you want to approach the impact and spin in a slightly different way, you WANT to use the extra horizontal real estate to create additional side spin, it is not something that happens consciously, it is hard to explain but you naturally approach swing and technique slightly different and the results are that you adjust your game to it to take advantage of the characteristics of the paddle.Pickleball Paddles are one of those things that might work for you and not for me, but if i had to describe paddles that felt differently after years of the same, this is one that has felt different, but not only different, but also capable of performing a competitive game with an approach that feels different for me.It seems that Joola also mastered their surface quality, the grip is amazing and create loads of spin.Sweet spot is pretty much the whole paddle, sure there are "sweeter" spots, but not like in the old days where it fels significantly stronger if you hit it right in the middle of the spot, responsiveness is pretty consistent all across the paddle, and you'd expect that at this price point.I usually complain last about the price tag on Joola's Paddles, but this Gen i won't. Joola went great lengths on a new presentation that feels like my almost $300 are worth it, and the now inclusion to USAP/UPA-A regulation pass is definitely great news. Definitely recommended for serious Pickleball players looking for a little twist in their usual game.

This paddle from JOOLA is amazing. It feels great and is also very forgiving with a big sweet spot. With other paddles I have that (costing over $100) there are still some dead spots that I didn’t expect from a fairly expensive name brand paddle.JOOLA is a well known name in paddle sports and their expertise and quality are on full exhibit with this paddle. If you really like pickleball and are finding it hard to improve your game, maybe you need to step up to the next level of equipment. While a premium paddle won’t automatically give you game, it will can improve the game you do have by giving you more repeatable control.

This is my 1st joola paddle and it's amazing. I've been trying to move away from the elongated shape and this paddle worked out very well. There is plenty of power and pop. The touch is soft but I wouldn't say plush. The spin was more than ample. I had zero issue playing with the paddle from the beginning. I just felt right. Big fan

I have reviewed dozens and dozens of paddles. Joola makes some of my favorites, and WOW... this one does NOT disappoint! It is a truly fabulous paddle that offers more control and finesse than anything I've ever tried. The sweet spot on these new Joola gen 4 paddles is truly impressive. No vibration whatsoever. If you've got the money to spend and you want a really fantastic paddle that gives you the best possible control, these Joolas are the way to go. The real question is which one of the different paddle shapes/styles is best for you. If you love the soft game and want the ability to finesse the ball, work your drops and dinking magic with uncanny ease, the Scorpius is it. Yes, it doesn't quite have the spin or power of the Perseus or Hyperion, but that doesn't mean this is a weakling on those metrics. It's an excellent all-around paddle. It's just that it dominates at the kitchen.Love, love, LOVE this paddle!
