I always appreciate the fidelity of decent wired headphones over those with Bluetooth connections. These didn't disappoint, with a few qualifications.I compared them to a few other major brand on-ear wired headphones and these definitely had the best bass response and a good clean sound.Bass was strong and clean, definitely the main feature of these headphones, and a great reason to get them if you like powerful bass. But in all three EQ settings I found the mids and treble to be a bit weak compared to the other headphones I compared these to. Although weak in my opinion, the sound across all frequency ranges was very clean... much better than lower quality headphones. The microphone placement on the control module allows for good clean voice pickup (better than microphones located on headphone cups or earbuds). It does a good job masking the sound of the cable rubbing on your shirt (which some others don't).They don't come with any documentation, so here are a few tips. To toggle the EQ among bass-favoring, voice-favoring, or default, you need to hold down the volume ( + and - ) buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The setting will be announced as it switches. Tap the center button to pause/play, hold it briefly to activate voice commands (like Siri). These headphones fold flat for storage and the headband is adjustable, but they lack horizontal pivots on the earcups, so depending on your head shape they may press harder on the bottoms or tops of your ears. I didn't find this to be a big deal and they were comfortable enough on my big head.Overall, these are great sounding for the price, and if you're a bass lover you'll really enjoy them.

I'm so impressed with these JBL headphones. I ordered them to use with my tablet since their connection is a USB-C. That one feature makes me ridiculously happy. But wait, there's more! They're snug enough on my head to be secure but don't give me a headache. The flat cable really is tangle-free as advertised. And I'm not a serious audiophile but these sound as good as my Solo Beats3 wireless headphones. These JBL Tune 520 C headphones are a great value and my new, first choice for everyday listening.

Grabbed these up for yardwork and casual listening, and they’ve been awesome. Sound quality is super clear like you would expect from a JBL product. You get that nice thump without drowning out the mids and highs, which is exactly what I want in a pair of headphones. For on-ear style, the comfort’s actually better than I expected. Usually, these things start mashing and pinching my ears after a bit, but I’ve worn these for a few hours at a time with no problem. Soft pads, lightweight build, just a good fit.Bonus points for the inline controls sticking to the industry standard format instead of doing something "new and improved." Volume, play/pause, skip, mic...everything’s right where it should be, and it actually works without fumbling. All around, these are a great set of wired headphones for a great price. Solid pick for a baseline set of headphones with good sound and smart features.

I like the comparatively low profile of these JBL On-Ear headphones. They feel comfortable to wear, and they fold up and are easy to carry in my bag. I needed headphones that have the USB-C plug, which is the only plug that my phone has. The control column is a good size, with enough separation between the buttons, which makes finding and pressing the volume up/down, pause/play/answer button easy. Pressing both the up and down buttons at the same time for two seconds changes the preset equalizer from balanced default to voice to bass heavy. From my personal preference, I prefer the default setting, which provides a good combination of both.
