Exactly what was needed to install steel cable railing on my porch. Extended handles made it easy to swage steel tensioners. The cutter was an added bonus too.

Used this to install cable rail decking. Would not hold cables at default setting. When set tighter it worked fine but takes a lot of strength to clamp. Very tiring. Much more so than the crimper we had at the old house!

I used this to crimp a cable railing system, it works great. I first bought a cheap ($70) Amazon hydraulic crimper and it died after a dozen crimps. Sent it back and bought this. People complain that it takes a lot of strength to use but it really isn’t bad. If you are between the ages of 10 and 80 and eat your vegetables you shouldn’t have any trouble with it.
