The battery dies fairly fast especially when going up even the slightest incline. The rear tire broke and I have just been a bit too lazy to try to fix it. It is also a lot heavier than I expected. I probably should have paid attention to that before purchasing. That’s on me.

This scooter can only hold a charge for about 30 minutes of consistent movement. Also the Bluetooth feature isn't adjustable so it's always on and draining power. I weigh 190lbs so it's definitely not suitable for the weight limit it says it can handle. Only recommend if you're not planning on riding for more then 30 minutes every 5 hours cause that's the charge time. When the scooter is at half battery the power significantly drops. After that it's a long walk home.

First off, I will say that I am a Hover-1 fan. I have 6 other Hover-1 products (3 scooters and 3 hoverboards), and they all have been very good to me, so I was expecting a great experience with this Hover-1 Journey scooter. Read on for more details.Received my Hover-1 Journey (New) early May, 2023. Assembled the handlebar to the top of the main steering stem, which took about 15 minutes. The frustrating part of assembly was making sure that the wire that is connected to the handlebars didn't get "pinched" inside of the main stem. I took my time installing because I wanted it to be perfect. After assembly, I plugged the charger into scooter, then into the outlet. The light on the charger turned GREEN. With my other Hover-1 products, that means the battery is fully charged. Because I thought the scooter was charged, I tried turning it on by holding the power button on top of the steering column. Nothing happened. Then I tried just pressing the power button once (not holding). Nothing happened.I then decided to try charging it for about an hour. The light on the charger stayed green the whole time. After an hour of charging, I tried turning the unit on again. Still nothing. This unit is defective. I have a replacement coming early June (through Amazon - thank you!) and will update this review after I receive it.TL;DR - Unit was defective and ordered a replacement through Amazon.

Do not buy this product. I ordered one at Christmas for my nephew and after he opened it we realized it didn’t work. Amazon sent us a new one and it’s also faulty. They do not turn on!! AVOID BUYING AT ALL COSTS! Complete waste of time

I ordered one, which didn’t work, and the replacement they sent had the same issue! Both would not charge or turn on. The Amazon rep assured me they would have someone test it before sending the replacement. Issues with both companies unfortunately.

(TLDR: I got this scooter for less than 300 all together and I would hardly recommend it then. Its not the best built as I've heard rattling since week 1, lost my taillight while riding one day, battery life isn't the best when flooring it, and riding on hills is the worst thing to do on this. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR $400 I GOT IT OVER $100 CHEAPER AND STILL ISNT WORTH IT)I've now had this scooter for 2 months. So far I haven't had issues like others where they had to get replacements. I saw that people had blown their tires so I let some air out when I got it and it's been fine since then. It gets you everywhere and I've been carrying it around my college campus almost daily. But I've noticed so many things using it so much. I like being able to fold it, it takes mere seconds to fold and pick up. It is slightly heavy especially carrying it all day so I would advise leaving it outside. Besides that that's all the good I can think of. The company at least doesn't lie when they say don't ride on inclines. It's performance absolutely tanks but that's for most e-scooters I suspect. I've not gotten it to 16 miles in terms of range but I constantly floor the acceleration so that would likely be the reason why I haven't. The build quality is scary as I've heard it rattle since I got it. It rattle to the point where I lost my taillight while riding it. (This is more of a side note but the speed limiter is somewhat harsh as if it goes over 15mph, it tries to slow you down asap. This is more of a personal gripe though and I wouldn't take this part to heart) This scooter, although as fulfilled my needs, is not worth the $400 asking price and yes I got this significantly cheaper a couple months ago. I do not recommend this AT ALL. But if you really really want it, riding this can be fun and I haven't had it as bad as others so do what you will.
