Maybe these are easier for actual cabinets, but i found them very hard to install in a nightstand. If you don’t already have a center support, don’t bother with them. I had to make a center support within the nightstands I was trying to put them in. Spent 2 hours just getting one installed. If stores close by had center under mount drawer slides i would return these. When they are installed they slide great, but god forbid you have to remove a drawer. I nearly broke a drawer trying to get it out. Maybe it’s all use error, but better off just getting the wooden slides in my opinion.

I have a tube amp that I wanted to put in a cubby in my entertainment center. Only problem is it would get too hot in there. installed two of these with a piece of white melamine as a shelf and now the amp slides out for cooling and back in when I am done. Amp is 32 pounds and they are more than strong enough.Hint: a little light grease on the ball bearings makes it slide much smoother. And yes, a sharp tug will separate the the slide from the track so you can screw each section in.

The slide is not smooth at all. Also it does not extend out as much as what is mentioned on the specs

It was made sturdy but didn’t work with our drawers. Not the manufacturer s fault but maybe better pictures or descriptions would help when ordering

The description says this drawer slide has a “soft-close” feature. It does not. It just opens/closes based on friction of the mechanism, though that has enough resistance that “slamming” a drawer shut is unlikely.

*Bought the 14" and had to return. It would be nice if Amazon or Hickory Hardware would post the "Select the Right Size Drawer Slide" chart that I found INSIDE the product. So I'm including it here for you.**Also, there were screws in mine tucked into one of the cardboard packaging ends.***And the parts were easy to take apart by leaving them all the way together and doing a quick pull to take them apart. There are also a few nice installation videos if you search for "how to install Hickory drawer slide P1029." Each is a little different, so chose what works best for your drawer,
