Between the general appearance of galvanized steel, and the fact that it's magnetic, lead me to believe this isn't actually stainless.

This part makes instillation easier and safer for diesel heater in my van build. Cut a 4 inch hole and bolt this part in for exhaust and air intake to travel through away from combustible materials.

This could be right but it is not. The ring is far off center to the holes in the plate. The biggest problem is that it list is as stainless steel and it is not. It is some kind of steel (very magnetic) with what looks like zinc plating over it. Because I really need to finish the install, I will use it. First I have to cut the ring off the plate and spray both parts with galvanizing paint. Then I will remount the ring to the hole in the floor. Then i can mount the plate where it shroud be. Huge waste of time because the part is poorly made and of the wrong material.
