These look just like the deteriorating caps on my hunter rotators. Great value.

These covers work perfectly to replace missing tops on the hunter sprinkler head. Easy to install.

They work, they fit, they look just like the original Hunter caps. For $2/ea you cant go wrong. As another reviewer stated, use a little vaseline (or like lube) to facilitate popping them on the heads.

I would have rated these 4 stars except the price at 1/3rd of Hunter OEM caps makes it 5 stars.I have over 25 years' experience working with Hunter PGP rotors including replacing head caps.I compared these to OEM Hunter PGP head caps. They look very similar with minute dimension differences that appear to be inconsequential. The OEM caps are a bit thicker, more rubbery and more flexible vs. the Gulfmew. The differences do not affect their installation or look. I installed two for this review and will update this review if they do not weather the heat. Deterioration due to heat and lawn mowers are the main reasons I replace head caps. Last year, there were 75 days at 100F degrees or higher in South Texas.Care should be taken when removing old caps. They usually come apart in pieces. I use a screwdriver and lift up through holes that have expanded where tool slits are. Be careful to not leverage against the top edge of the sprinkler head. There is a thin ridge that surrounds the head cap. With age, the ridge peels off in sections. This does not really affect the function other than allowing more debris to enter below the cap and possibly obstruct the orifices where tools are inserted. There are three cylindrical posts around the circumference that may break off below the head during removal. They can be removed through the large center hole with needle nose pliers. The tool orifices can be easily cleaned by spraying with a water nozzle in the “Jet” mode. This will also remove cylindrical posts and other old head cap debris.Top, bottom and side view pictures are attached of an OEM Hunter PGP cap compared to the Gulfmew cap.Pictures are also attached of a worn-out cap, views below the cap and the Gulfmew cap after installation.Below are comparison dimensions between Hunter OEM and Gulfmew. The only possible issue may be the Gulfmew shorter cylindrical posts once the cap has been exposed to the sun and POSSIBLY become brittle and pull free of the head.DIMENSIONS (measured with a digital caliper – most rounded to nearest mm)Diameter:Hunter – 43 mmGulfmew – 42Thickness:Hunter – 4.4Gulfmew - 4.0Cylindrical post height:Hunter – 7Gulfmew – 6Cylindrical post width – same - two @ 6mm and one @ 5 mmCenter cylindrical post height – same - 7Center cylindrical post width - same – 16I definitely recommend these Gulfmew head caps at 1/3rd the price of Hunter.

I have been watching the caps on my sprinklers slowly erode over the years and figured I would need to live with that, not realizing that replacement caps were available. Once I saw these I ordered them and installed them right away. They were easy to install and fit perfectly. This is probably something that's not necessary to do but it does improve the look of the sprinkler heads and may allow them to last longer.
