It works really well for small bugs like Nats, No See’ums and mosquitoes but anything bigger like a wasp can feel like watching an electrocution which is kind of disturbing.

We use this at our cabin and turn it on one hour before we go to bed and leave it on for about three hours. (The zapper does not have a timer; we purchased a timer separately). It works great at clearing out the mosquitoes. We tried a different brand and rated it one out of five stars. This one is great. We bought a second one for the bunk house.

After just one use, I am hooked on this product. There are so many bugs outside near my balcony where I like to sit and enjoy a good book. I purchased this product to try and get rid of said bugs. Mission accomplished. The bugs gravitated to the light emitted from this lamp. It was crazy to see how it worked. Very easy to also clean the lamp after use. Highly recommend!

This bug zapper was full every other morning. Excellent mosquito killer. Also get a lot of moths tho. Not good for horseflies.

Works very well for reducing flying insects around your indoor space (mosquitoes, fruit flies and house flies, etc). Seems to help as well outdoors but unfortunatel it even attracts large moths, which I would prefer not to kill. Follow the suggestion in the user's manual for the most effective use. The manual does not, however, mention that there is a lamp inside that may need to be replaced. The unit is completely quiet except when it zapping a bug, so if the lamp burns out, it gives the impression that the unit isn't on. The bulb is easily removed from the bottom by removing the single Phillips screw on the grill up under the dead bug cleanout cup. The replacement bulb is currently on Amazon as"Raindot Bug Zapper U Type Replacement Bulbs 15 Watt,Bug Bulb Zapper Fluorescent UV Lamp Tube - Insect Attracting Lamp FUL15W-BL"Typically this bulb should last 5000 hours (or about 208 day continuous operation). On our first unit stopped working after about 2 months of use. I contacted the vendor, Prosperous H. They were very helpful in solving the issue. Meanwhile I ordered a 2nd unit and a replacement bulb for the 1st unit.Very pleased!

This works okay, but the electrical cord is very short so you will want to make sure you have an extemsion cord to use with it.
