My son is 13 and dances full time. He does a lot of tumbling passes in his dances. These work great for him so he is not jiggly all over the place. :-). Yes they are snug, but that is what we wanted. We bought a large and he is normally a medium/large adult size (he's 5'10" and 170 lbs). These are tight, but work good.

Not effective at all. Zero shaping control capability. I have had regular boxer shorts that were better at shaping than these. waste of money for that aspect, through comfy.

It contours your waist, love handles and everything in between, and you feel comfortable and relaxed all day, after a week or two, the fabrics of the garment will be not as binding and more easily to fit in and easily comfortable.

Honestly, size up or its gonna be really uncomfortable. its made of thick material around the waist and a thinner material at the groin, but still tight enough to hurt you after a day if you dont size up atleast one full size
