Works good. Slides in and out the handle set a little but otherwise it's been great.

As one would expect from an SFIC lock, this fits in other standard SFIC mortice bodies and padlocks. It's in the same class of quality as the typical name brand, and certainly a step above some of the generic ones. It feels like it has great operation and tolerances.Other than that, there's nothing extraordinary that I noted.

After taking this core out of it's box the first thing I noticed was that the plate that secures the inner part of the core and the outer core was rather loose, but when turning the key it was so smooth I think it is ok. I had an old Best lock body for this core type and again it is just a little looser than I would like, but I can't get my standard hook lockpick between the body and core and even if you could slide something between it is not going to do any good. I also disassembled the core and sadly they were all standard pins but were good-quality pins. For someone needing a new SFIC IC Core for normal use this is honestly a great core. If you are looking for a core that you can easily take apart and learn how to pick a 7 pin lock this is also perfect.

First thing I noticed when I got this is the keys stick pretty badly. You have a false sense the keys are pressed all the way in and turning was scratchy... needed lube. After getting it so that a key inserted was not fighting with the core, I set to seeing what this was capable of preventing and that is not particularly much. You can zip it, rake it, pick it, but it's one of the higher attempt requirement low skill entry cores. It is easier to rake than single pin pick, but it takes a lot of raking...Seems to be a decent core, did need lubrication though just to get the keys to not stick.

This is a 7 pin, no security pins lock with two separate shear lines. The first works with just a regular key, but the second shear line uses a special check key which then allows you to turn a small metal bar inside and replace the entire lock without disassembling the deadbolt to remove the cylinder. This makes replacing a lock very quick and easy in order to change keys. In terms of pick resistance it's about what you would expect from a 7 pin no security pin lock, although the twin shear lines can be a little interesting. For the price range though for this system I would really hope they could spare a few cents for some security pins.
