Got this kit a few months ago, I'm surprised to see how stable this skateboard is, runs very well on dirt tracks, roads with holes, parks, sidewalks, ...I can ride this for hours, it's really confortable to ride and the big wheels absorbs most of the vibrations of the roadThe noise it makes is satisfyingGoes up to 40km/h easily, the acceleration is a bit better than a bicycle (my weight is 76kg)I have a manual handbrake on my board, very useful for stability and allows to brake more, but the motor brake is strongIt looks like the controller works a bit like a shifter, you can easily climb hills by releasing the accelerator and pressing it again when going slow, same for going faster, which allows more control when going slow on the sidewalkI use it almost every day cause it's just too fun to ride but don't forget to wear protective gear !Seller is comprehensive too

I've built a few rc trucks, so the assembly was pretty easy. I've run it for about an hour total now, and it's been an absolute blast. Seems to be having some power problems going up very small hills and I'm only 150lbs. The power settings on the remote seem to work more like gears. Cuts out and won't move uphill at full power, but if I drop to 25% I can crawl up. I'm definitely going to upgrade something, but I'm not sure if it's the motor, esc, or batteries that is the problem. As others have stated, removed the motor guards as they were rubbing and catching rocks. I've been out hitting trails with my dog and it's a lot of fun. I think this is probably one of the easiest and cheapest ways to get started.2 month edit: The controller board failed on me after two months of riding almost every day and having an absolute blast out with my dog. I think I overheated the controller by enclosing it, even though I added a heat sink. I contacted the seller, and they're replacing whatever parts I need. I just wanted to add that they have excellent customer support. I'll update again.

I am 44. Did RC for years and also Kiteboard. I bought the full kit because it’s a deal and seemed easier then sourcingIndividual parts. I also don’t own a 3D printer which seems to be needed to build these things from reading the forms. I already had a MBS board. Actually 2.... ;) This kit takes all the guess work out of the build. Finding batteries and a good way to mount the electronics is enough of figuring out for me right now. This product speeds up the build and will give you a understanding to build off of. It’s a solidly built product like the other review states. But like L faster mentioned in the description there are a few things that are not perfect. 1. My kit came with metal shavings caught in between the motor and the cover. No real damage done and it was easily removed. But if they got into the motor it could of been bad. 2. I also got a flat on a ride. There was a long piece of metal rod left on my tire for some reason that punched through the tube. Fixed that with wire cutters... So yes not perfect but hey it’s $2000 Canadian less than a trampa kit. I have now ran 8 packs through this kit. It seems to hold up so far. Things I did to improve the build 1. I added heat sinks to the ESC. It seems to run hot. 2. I took the trucks apart and greased everything. They did not do that at the factory. But neither does MBS so....? 3. Added stainless steel hardware. 4. Added 100a breaker that also works as a kill switch. 5. Added volt meter. Shipping was fast. I feel I had no real issues worth complaining to the seller about. I highly recommend this kit to anyone looking to build a board on a tight budget. So glad With this purchase.(Edit) still going strong after lots of riding. I added yellow MBS egg shocks and made longer dogpoint grub screws to set the spring tension higher. The board is more stable because of this at high speeds. I also fabricated a brace at the back to stiffen up the motor mounts. I also pulled the motor covers off. They just caught debris and did more harm than good. 2 5s HRB 5000mah batteries get this board to the advertised speed. They last a good amount of time. 20000mah gets me 27k of travel. That’s a mix of gravel path and road ways moderate hill climbing.Edit again. Nov 11 2019. I switched my deck up for a trampa short 35 degree. What a difference that made! The board is way more responsive now. I no longer need the rubber wedge risers. I also decided to beef up the stock motor mounts as my original hack brace finally broke. I think the stock mounts have too much side to side movement when braking. This movement seems to cause the belts to slip and get chewed up over time. It was not a problem until I started to ride full speed in the city and hit the brakes a lot. Also I custom made some idler pulleys. I hear they help with belt slip. And finally I carefully removed the colour off the motors with easy off heavy Duty oven cleaner. That was just to get the carbon fibre aluminum look I was after. I posted some Updated pics . I still highly recommend this kit. It’s bomber!Edit: feb 2021. Had to re-grease everything but it is still going strong.Edit April 2021. First failure. The bearings went in one of the motors. Many factors like wet riding lots of miles and belt tensioner to blame. With this many miles on it I should of replaced them instead of re-greasing. I found new ones here on Amazon.
