Didn’t work for me. I followed the instructions to the letter and unfortunately one side had a continuous leak.

-seems like a good product so far,... But was Not particularly easy to install, and my install was an "easy" one (with ac rubber hose nearby)... here are your helpful hints/warnings: ... one, you need a couple big wrenches (25 mm or 1 inch), It's very difficult to fit a wrench that big (nevermind Two) into some of these splice spots. two, the lines Must be straight, and aligned perfectly, three, in the directions it says to apply mineral oil to the rubber sleeves, i didn't have any (i used pag/refrigerant oil),... that should have been mentioned, four, one of the two tubes being spliced must be able to move quite a bit to put this together, you'll need at least an inch or two of movement, five, can you spin a tube cutter in that location, mine was difficult, six, aluminum threads can be tricky, if those tubes aren't perfectly square to each other that cap will cross-thread faster than a pinhole can leak refrigerant! Good Luck! *****On the brighter side, it's been months now, and the wife's AC has been blowing cold with this splice in place... no leaks yet

I used this part to fix my 2015 Acadia rear ac line leak. It has been 6 months, and I have not had any problems with the AC because of this part. The AC Repair shop want to charge me $2000 to replace the entire assembly.

Product is well made, fluro seals and brass ferrules are excellent quality. Be sure to deburr and lightly sand and clean the aluminum tubing before trial fitting so you get a good seal the first time without nicking the seals. Worked as advertised, great to have A/C again.

Great product. Made fixing the rear ac line on 08 Buick Enclave simple and easy. Been about 5 months since purchase. No issues at all.

or the 2007-14 Suburban/Yukon XL rear HVAC lines you need two of the 800-642; one 800-641 and one 800-640 (the one reviewed). Dorman also sells a kit (926-998) with the lines and these connectors. I already bought the GM lines so unfortunately I paid too much overall. I've used these on my 2005 Suburban too.

So I replaced the high pressure side A/C line for the rear air conditioning in my 2012 GMC Acadia the line comes in two sections and must be installed using a $1500 tool that i didnt have and definitely was not purchasing i had seen these line fittings for repairing lines and was a little skeptical if It would hold as the high side A/C lines can reach upwards of 400 PSI well after using this connector with new lines im more then happy with the way this connector has performed after a couple weeks of driving there are still no leaks i highly recommend this item for repairs

be careful when ordering. since most cars vary in metric and imperial sizes you might get a kit that may be too big or too small. Unfortunately the company doorman does not have a tool to allow you search by car and year to get the correct fit if they even carry it? tried calling them as well and cant help me. I ordered all three sizes and none of them worked? wasted my time ordering and returning them. Ended up cutting the pipe for nothing.

Was quoted $1600 to replace the AC line and $400 to cap the lines. Bought this product and after I cut the bad part out and installed the splice I filled the system with R134a and the AC works great. Definitely recommend this product.

I'm going to start out telling you this. It was going to cost me at the very least $ 600.00 to have the air conditioning line on my chevy traverse fixed. I repaired the line my self using this product. You do have to have a mechanical mindset to do this correctly. For the total repair using this product, and the refrigerant and other supplies I spent a total of eighty dollars to fix it myself. Great product! The power steering pressure hose on the vehicle rubbed the hole in the AC line near the firewall. This in my opinion should be a recall. It happens often. I cut a short piece of rubber hose and slit it down one side to put it around the crimped part of the power steering hose that rubbed the hole in the line after the repair was finished in order to keep it from happening again. Just to help out you will need a close counters pipe cutter. The Rigid is a good one. Juse make sure that you get the one for the right diameter cut that you need for the job. In my case I needed one that would cut 5/8" diameter pipe.
