To fit this on my porch I hung the brackets vertical. The designer who didn't allow enough space to install the screws on the crank without removing the mechanism should be tarred and feathered.There is not enough room to use a screw driver without removing the drive unit.With very little clearance to reattach the drive unit some choice words were uttered.After meticulously balancing and installing the blind I was really pissed that it had been stapled together on an angle. This makes it impossible to wind the unit up without the remainder hanging at an angle. 2 counts of poor design and assembly. For the money I am not impressed...

Looks good. It was easy to put up by myself (8' wide model) and reduces the heat on my front porch drastically in the afternoons when the sun comes around. Quite happy with it.

Easy to install and so far works great. Sheer enough to see through but keeps the out. People can still your silhouette through. If you want absolute privacy this one work for you.

We had to have the screens cut and sewn to fit our patio.Love the look and the easy up and down. We bought them more for the shade but enjoy the privacy.Highly recommend.I feel like we have another room.

Bought two for gazebo, whet up fast and easy. Been using them for about 3 weeks now and their perfect and we like them a lot. Hand crack on one started “squeaking” loudly after about 2 weeks but a little teflon spary lubricant” fixed that. Only think i would like is maybe a couple more of the “tie down” parts so that you could have the shade “partially down” if you wanted. I’m in a windy area and you do need the tie downs to prevent them from banging around in the wind.

Actually this is our second shade. The first was purchased to block the afternoon sun on a screen porch in the mountains. The open weave allows the breeze to flow through while blocking the sun and heat. The tie down at the base keeps it in place.Purchased this shade to install on the west (glass) wall of our sunroom. For a few months in the summer the sunroom gets the full force of the afternoon sun. With this shade we have reduced the use of the air conditioner and are able to see through it when needed.Well packaged, Easily installed, Handy crank allows for raising or lowering the shade quickly.

Took less than 30 minutes to hang, very few parts to mess with, and while I recommend reading the instructions, it was pretty simple to install. Looks good, and does a good job of providing shade.

I bought this for the front porch. The porch faces west, so afternoon sun was blinding, this 80% darkening was perfect for this application. You can see through the screen, but blocks most of the sun's rays. The color is more of a light mocha than almond though. The crank is self-foldable (it is a hinged crank handle), and easy to operate. Overall a great product!

Great product. Easy installation. Says 20 mins, and that was consistent. I did it with no help, but a helper with a second ladder would have made it easier. I installed the first bracket, then mreasured 98.75 in from the first bracket and installed the second bracket. Then stood in the middle and put the clutch side in first, then the pin side. Before you mount the cluth side, if you are using a drill for screwing it in, remove the two machine screws that hold the clutch assembly to the bracket first, rather than wait til you are on the ladder and find you dont have clearance. After mounting bracket, reinstall the machine screws.Appears very well made.

This arrived in few days and needed it for my back patio to block west sun. The package was in original plastic like at the store. Amazon did not repack it. Upon trying to install I noticed the right bracket was bent and was unusable. I called company and they are sending new one in 10 days. I can't wait to install it! Fabric seems very good. Rod assembly appears sturdy. I read suggestions on tethering the bottom so it doesn't slap in the wind. I will update when it's up with photos.UPDATE new bracket arrives and it was fairly easy to install. Looks great, blocks sun and allows some vision thru it. Definitely fixed the sun issue!
