We operate a fleet of 10 late model Polaris Sportsman 570 Touring ATVs. Our company does guided scenic tours at moderate speeds and light braking. We purchased these brake pads to evaluate and the results are terrible. After about 2 weeks (20-25 hours of operation), the pads detach from the metal backing. We have had 7 failures to date. The failures occur after washing the machines with a standard garden hose and parking the machine's for the night. It appears that the pad material seizes to the brake disc and when you move the machine the next day, it rips the pad off of the metal plate. Our opinion is that these brake pads are not only poorly made but are also dangerous.
