This is used for controlling a sprinkler in my vegetable garden. I already have a similar unit with a wifi hub i bought as a combo, so did not need another hub. This units easily connect to the hub and can then be contolled via wifi using the free app from the manufacturer.

Everything is good about this timer except for the Bluetooth range. I have to be right next to it (within 6 feet) to connect which defeats the purpose. Too late to return as I didn't test it out until after the return period. I also bought the wifi version of this timer and that one works great.

I use this thing every day; my spigot is in a hard-to-reach area, so when I'm sitting on my porch and want to turn the water on and water my potted plants, I just open the App and click start. This works through Bluetooth, so you can't control it from Barbados, but it works from anywhere in and around my property. The App was simple to set up (for once, am I right?) and works well; I've never had a single problem with the App or the hardware. I have recommended this to friends and family and will continue to. I put a bucket beneath the unit and spigot to see if it was leaking, and I haven't had a drop. Great product!

Received the device, connection yo Smartlife was simple, turned it on/off manually set a cycle (1 min on 3 min off) for 1 hour and it was fantastic.Hour was over and went to run it for another hour. Could not connect to device. Tried manually turning on could not connect to device. Rebooted Android phone , still no go. Returning.UPDATED:Yesterday I bought the BT version, review above. Today, I received the WiFi hub version with high hopes. Set it up per instructions and it seemed OK.However, turned BT off on the phone and could not control the valve. It seemed whatever I did, even creating a program, got stacked up until BT was back on. So, what good is the WiFi version?Yes, the hub is within 8 feed of the valve and only one wall separates them. I expected to operate the valve remotely like I do all of my other smart devices.Returning this one as well.

This timer serves its purpose to be a phone controlled faucet timer. It is a bit big. It doesn't have a 49' BT range. but I don't need 49ft as the outdoor faucet is less than 5' from my kitchen window. The one odd thing is that whenever it starts up while connected to BT or whenever I press the manual start (either in the app or the button on the timer), is that the music playing on my phone pauses. 4 stars because I cannot use it at the end of my hose but instead, due to BT range, I have to use it at the faucet.

Worked for two days. Dripping all over. I used my own tape after to see whether it will seal. It is not. On top of that, it drained battery in two days for me. I scheduled daily half hour irrigation. That is it. In a week, it stopped working altogether. Erased memory from the app. Re installed it. Still not working. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. That is all I have to say. I am going to return this.

I just received the package today after ordering it yesterday so it's A+ shipping and it looks new in a packaging. Put in two AA batteries, download Smart Life app, login, press pairing button on device, click add device in the app. Bam! it works. So excited. Hooked the hose. click the app the start...no problem but....as soon as I went up to 2nd floor....the app DISCONNECTED. So be prepared the bluetooth distance will be a problem.But if you program the timers when getting close the to the device. It seems that the device memorized those settings. You don't have to worry that bluetooth connection will affect these timers. So yes 4/5 stars. 1 missing star is because it made me scratch my head and few of my hairs come off.

Great product w lots of options. The 10 minute water is very simple. Only issue is reconnecting after walking up to it or coming back to it as there is a warning screen that comes up that covers the entire interface so you can't see not do anything. Would be smarter to have an icon that shows connected or not connected and be able to peruse the interface.It looks like a failed setup screen is very annoying if you're just trying to run the 10m water.

The unit are easy to put in place but the software used to control those units needs to be upgraded, it needs the fonction of watering by even or odd days and the hub needs to control all the units for rain delay that’s one example. The units himself are working good.

I feel like I took a gamble buying this because it looks somewhat new and there aren’t the greatest reviews, but it has worked perfectly for me so far. Very convenient for $40!Sure, you have to scan a QR code from some roughly translated directions that says the app doesn’t exist anymore. But all you have to do is search for the name of the app in the App Store and it comes right up. And yes, the app wants all kinds of permissions that it shouldn’t need for a timer to turn on your sprinkler, but that’s because it’s a smart home app and apparently you can link a plethora of other things to it. Since the sprinkler timer is the only thing I use that app for, and it’s Bluetooth, I just went into the permissions after setting it up and turned most of them off. It still works just fine.I’ve now used the manual function a few times, to just immediately turn on the sprinkler for a set period of 10-15 minutes. It’s nice to be able to turn it on (from inside) and then walk away knowing I don’t have to set a timer to run outside to turn it off. Same goes for the schedule function that I’ve used now as well. It came on before I was even out of bed and then turned off exactly as expected. So, seems to be working great!One person complained about not being able to control it from afar, which is somewhat fair. It would be more useful if it connected to Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth and you could control it from anywhere, but it says Bluetooth so it’s described correctly. You only need to connect to it to make changes though; the schedule function still works whether you’re connected to it or not. And I expect to run the sprinkler very early morning when I’m at home anyways, just when I first wake up.Maybe this will get me through at least one summer so I don’t have to spend thousands on an installed sprinkler system. I will update if anything breaks or changes though.

So far the product is doing as expected. It was easy to set up. I’m very satisfied with the app. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to set the schedules. There are two scheduling options, frequency or day. This lets you customize the time of day and length of watering. I love the Bluetooth function because if I do need to change a settings I can do this from the comfort of my bed. So if it were to rain in the middle of the night I don’t have to go outside to pause watering. My only wish is that this was wifi so I could remotely control it while on a vacation.
