Dinosaurs? Pump action ball guns? Lights? Sounds? Action? The Dinosaur shooting game incorporates all of the above to let kids feed their inner dino hunter instincts.Cons:------------------* The pleasant imagery is less realistic than the difficulty of shooting the balls into the dinosaurs to earn points. This isn't an innate flaw, but rather an expectation adjustment required, particularly for smaller kids in the suggested age range.* The balls are identically colored, which would have been better had they been split into two colors for tracking team or personal scores without confusionPros:----------------* Dinosaur movement is challenging even for adults (though suggest a flat surface that's smooth for best results)* Dinosaur score tracking display is a great way to build tension* Sounds and lights feel like a circus vibe, which amused my little ones* The foam balls are rigid enough but not in any way dangerous.* Being able to store a lot of the toy inside the toy itself helps keep pieces from wandering off.Verdict:---------------* For the price, the dinosaur hunting kit meets expectations in most ways, and exceeds them in the most fun ways. Probably more engrossing for the older range of 6 to 8, but can be tamed down to be interesting for 3-5 year olds as well.

This dinosaur shooting game is so fun! The dinosaur is about 11" tall and rolls around, roaring, as you try to shoot little balls into his mouth. There are two dinosaur shooting "guns" that you pump to release and aim the balls. The game comes with lots of balls, but they are all yellow, not multi-color as shown. That makes it difficult to keep score on who shot the most balls into the dinosaur. There is lighting and sound and movement and a scoreboard - all work well. The kids love this, as does my husband. The game says ages 3+; however, I think ages 5+ may be more appropriate. The littler ones enjoy the sound and movement, but can't aim and shoot the ball gun. A fun game, but could be about $5-$8 less expensive and have two colors of balls for two players.

Super fun and exciting. My toddler loves this and we play together. Will it last forever? No, but for what I need it to do it's excellent.

The kids and I opened this today, and I have to say...they thought it was pretty neat. I have to point out that my kids are 12 and 14, so they're definitely on the older end for a toy set like this, but my son loves any play set with functions and cool effects, and this has that. He and his sister had a lot of fun trying it out, and we hope that the younger cousins who visit will find it fun as well.The dinosaur can move around and make noises or can remain stationary based on preference. There's a digital scorekeeper that tracks the balls (although at least one wasn't counted because it didn't touch the tongue sensor). Our balls were two different colors and we were happy about that, after reading other reviews that there was only one color. The best part? You can drop some water into it and "steam" will come out of its mouth! We all thought that that was pretty creative designing.The dinosaur itself is a nice size, it seems pretty durable (and will update our review if needed), and it's a good value.The balls are small enough that they shouldn't be around younger children or pets, as they could be a choking hazard. Also, note that one set of glasses needed to be put together and one didn't. The middle molded piece was a little large and irregular, but my son was able to snap it into place. The competition was serious, with balls all over the living room.It's a fun and unique set!

This game is fun.It doesn't really come with instructions.Its safe for inside and outside play as the balls are foam.It functions how it's advertised. I feel like you can't put a price on kids laughter and enjoyment so thre price is ok.I thought the Dinosaur would be bigger.
