The microphone's cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, improving isolation of the desired sound source. The AV-JEFES PMM19B-H4P-GT is compatible with Audio Technica Bodypack Transmitter or Phantom Power input (Phantom Power Module included).

The mic sounds good but is a bit noisier than similar mics that cost more (such as the ATM350GL). The clamp is also more flimsy than other similar more expensive models, but it works. If you don't mind the little bit of extra noise (hiss...white noise) and are careful with the clamp and the tiny cable, this is a great little mic for the money.
