We have a 2016 Volvo XC90 and these were a prefect replacement and fit for our power liftgate. Although you have take take off some molding piece in the back the install is relatively easy to do. I would high recommend these to anyone that has any kind of mechanical skills. We were quoted over $1000.00 to have these replaced by professional auto shop. With the cost of two of these and a little bit of time the outcome was extremely good and a lot cheaper.

Fit perfect on my 2016 XC90 T6 and took about an hour to take the old out and install these. Dealer quoted over $1,200. There’s a YouTube video on how to install. Follow along and save yourself the money. These work great!

Because of the 2016 Volvo liftgate design, replacing these is a real pain. I did both sides at the same time, took perhaps 3 hours. This product works well and after I was able to put them on, the lift gate immediately was back to normal. Good product.

The install was a bit of a pita, but these struts are a great plug and play replacement. No extra setup or coding required… they work as advertised

Would you rather give volvo $1000 to fix this common problem or just spend 20 minutes doing it yourself? I choose the latter. It was fairly easy but you have to remove some panels and snake this plug a bit. The connection really should be nearby but volvo had other plans. But you can do it.
