I bought these after the ones on my 2014 Crosstrek stopped extending fully. It was a quick and easy swap and fit perfectly.

BUYERS BEWARE!I ordered these rear hatch shocks and one of them went bad within 6 weeks of installing them. They claim they have a one year warranty. When I returned them I was hit with a $9.00 "Damage Fee". There is a difference between damaged and defective. One of them was DEFECTIVE not damaged.

My 2012 Impreza hatch was no longer rising by itself. It would stay wherever I placed it, but the struts could no longer lift it. I called a Subaru dealer and they wanted $125 for each strut. So, I tried these and so far, so good.The install was easy as these are nearly identical in design to the OEM. However, these are so strong, and the old struts were not completely exhausted, that I only needed to install one strut to have the hatch rising like new. This is my wife's car and I'm afraid she would have trouble pulling the hatch down with both installed. My only concern is when the weather turns cold will only one still work as it does when it's warm. I may have to install the second strut if not. We'll see.Overall I'm very happy so far and hope these last a reasonable lifespan. I doubt they are as well made internally as OEM, but even half the life will be a bargain.

20 min to install. Hatch now opens like new. Sturdy construction matching the OEM shocks. Now just have to give it time and seasons to see how it holds up. So far very happy with purchase

Easy to replace, factory fit struts. I just reused the original bolts, swapped these for the old ones, and I was done. They open a little slower than stock, but in a nice controlled manner.
