Its a simple quick install. Just grabbed myself a hammer and wacked the old one and in with the new. Holds the hood up quite drastically and you need to put in some weight into it to close it.Installed on a 2009 pontiac g5 coupe.

I installed this hood support strut on a 2008 Chevy Cobalt LS. The old strut could no longer support the hood. The old support was easy to remove since I followed the directions on a YouTube video. The new unit went on easily and works as it is intended. I would purchase again. Jack S.
